LaFlop James

I have never seen someone's head SNAP so many times in one night.
Every time James gets a somewhat physical foul, his head SNAPS back. Does he think this is the action of a great basketball player?
I hope he gives himself whiplash with his bogus exaggerations after a foul. What a joke.

I'm just glad the Celtics have players like Sam Cassell who don't do stuff like this.

it's the refs to blame who are falling for that crap. why shouldn't bron do it if they're going to fall for it?
stern obviously wants to protect his golden child.

Just like every other player in the league, LeBron will keep doing what works. If dunking works, he'll dunk again. If refs fall for his theatricals, he'll act and exaggerate again.

O.K. Sorry I guys, I was just pointing out the obvious. I guess if he can get away with it, then why not?
But as long as he does it, in my book he's not nearly in the league of Jordon, Bird, etc. He's only a flopper.

I know right...it wasn't like Sam got fouled or anything haha. He actually got shot on that play I think and fell down for the 10 count.

the refs are the difference tho. back in the 80's no ref was going to protect a player like that, not even MJ. now it's so accepted that the stars get all bent when they don't get the calls. did you see Lebron whine about that charge he had on Pierce? please.

I love basketball but exaggerated head snaps when someone just barely touches you makes the game nearly unwatchable.
The League has to do something about it. At the end of each week the league should distribute points for all the flops they found on tape. Once a player reaches a certain amount of points they get suspended a game, and so on...

he's not in their league because he flops...
how bout he's not in their league because he hasnt won anything yet?

Yea, it's obvious that he's not in their league because he hasn't won anything but don't tell that to the Media. That was my point, the media makes him out to be the next Magic/Jordon, yet he hasn't won crap and he flop's like a little girl.
I don't get it...

He's twenty **** three. Jesus Christ. How much had Jordan accomplished on a team level at that point?
You don't get it? You can't see that LeBron is the best player in the NBA and has essentially been the best player since his sophomore season?

I, for one, am amazed at the toughness and courage LeBron shows on the court every single game against the Celtics.
He faces what one might believe to be life threatening/career ending basically every game vs. us, is down on the floor in incredible pain for a good 20 seconds and unbelievably gets up, takes his 2 flagrant free throws (and the ball) and is throwing down ferocious jams minutes later.
Despite Sam Cassell's WWE style eye gouge that almost left The King blind, James Posey's strangle attempt that nearly ended his life, Brendan Haywood's body slam that would've broke the average man's back, and Darius Songaila's sucker punch that probably broke his jaw based on his reaction...he was still able to stay in the game and shoot free throws then act as if nothing happened moments later.
This man is a warrior, not a flopper. He only looks like a flopper because he's so damn tough.
Note: Despite the sarcasm/bashing, I'm actually a LeBron fan and think he's the best player in the NBA. The faking injuries has gotta stop, though. Flopping to draw offensive fouls is bad enough, staying on the floor and pretending you are severely injured, delaying the game a good 20+ seconds takes it to a new level of annoying.

Lebron's flopping makes me sick to my stomach. Rondo barely brushes into Lebron and he goes flying backwards as if a 130 MPH wind was suddenly placed in front of him, flailing backwards with a face so agonized and contorted that you'd think he got hit with a stray bullet.
As someone before me mentioned, he has his act down to a science. No matter where he is hit, and completely independent of how hard he was hit, he will do the same motion every time: he will snap his head back and grab his face, with a face of sheer agony. Brush against the side of his body? Hey, why not snap my head back and grab my face. Tripped over my shoelaces? Immediately grab my face as if someone poked my eyes out.
I mean, it's one thing to set your feet and exaggerate falling backwards when a player charges into you. But it's another thing to completely fake that you got injured. And Lebron's figured out that if he grabs his face and looks as if he's dying, no matter where he got hit, that he'll get the call. Honestly, he should get a technical called on him each time he does that. I hope Stern addresses this in the off-season.

What a terrible time to go after Lebron!!
I mean like the guy is already to explode on us and end our dreams---let a sleeping dog alone. He's fully capable of winning 2 games all by himself. And how happy the Cav fans must be that they are only down 1 with Lebron more or less asleep.

i'm sorry but I just don't see any theatricality at all. he got clotheslined running at full speed and you expect him to just keep running like nothing happened. He got hit around the throat RUNNING AT FULL SPEED. Go outside and run into a 2 x 4 that your friend is holding up, neck high at full speed and see what your reaction would be.
I don't see when basketball suddenly became such a sport for bad asses, for as long as I've watched this sport its always had touchy fouls and very controlled contact. Stop for a minute before you make wild accusations about a player like calling him a flopper.
Lebron has never been mentioned as a flopper before this playoffs when the Wizards complained like the whiny bitches they are. and all of sudden two weeks later you would have think he's been worse than Manu his whole career. Its another case of people having collective short term memory.
Don't blame Lebron for the NBA's rules. THey have been calling the game like this for the past 20 years. Don't give me that bull **** "back in the 80's"... I've watched games from the 80's and they are no different, just a bunch of old timer's trying to claim they played in tougher times and younger people who don't know what the hell they are talking about.
give it up, stop singling out lebron with asinine and hypocritical accusations.

There are professional actors (e.g., Keanu Reeves) who would kill to have LeBron's innate histrionics. I've seen movie characters getting shot or about to die whose faces don't reflect pain as memorably as LeBron's.
Kudos to him for being a top-notch sportsman and artist.

well apparently the NBA disagrees with you, seeing as how they overturned Cassell's flagrant foul after seeing it was 90% acting by Bron. frankly, i can't remember that ever happening before (tho it probably has). i wouldn't be surprised if they overturned Posey's call too, but i guess that would look too bad for Golden Child so they won't. The refs didn't even call it a flagrant at first, until whiny bitch Lebron complained.
So you can act like we're just whistling in the dark, but the fact is lebron is getting quite a reputation for his pussy antics. It's a shame, because i genuinely believe he's the best player in the NBA. he doesn't need to do all that crap.
