I'm done with this team! Have we really won 66 games?

I am not a bandwagoner, but this is definitely it. I don't care anymore if we win it all. If you lose 5 straight games on the road, you deserve to drop out of the playoffs and make adjustments during the off-season.

Don't let the door hit you. Please choose better ways to express your opinion in your title. Thank you. canman

Regular season doesn't mean **** come playoff time.

Doc, Pierce and Allen are sure reminding us of that.

Didn't you already make this statement during the regular season when we lost 3 games in a row?

Who has homecourt? Who hasn't lost at home?

And best defense in the league? Yeah, right, we have seen it in the last 3 minutes in each of our road games.

It's not all over yet, but it's definately getting close. I thought the Horford scuffle would fire them up...nope. Hawks were supposed to be a sweep, 5 games TOPS. Cavs are not suppose to be this hard either. If this team keeps going to game 7's, they are going to be spent come time for Detroit, nevermind the freakin' Spurs/Jazz/Lakers.

Oh, i'm sure they'll eventually lose one, and if the cavs can't do one, I guarantee the Pistons will at the very least get one, or maybe two

Relax. Did you really just expect the C's to cakewalk to the title?

The Spurs are locked up 2-2 with the Hornets.

The vaunted Lakers just got snuffed out twice up in Salt Lake.

The C's are in a dogfight with a team that reached the finals last year.

I think the expectations around here got a little too high, and now people got their panties in a bunch because the Celts aren't taking the Cavs to the woodshed. These other teams aren't just gonna lie down cuz the C's won 66 regular season games...the Mavericks found out about that last year.

Are you saying it's more likely the Celtics will lose at home than they will win on the road? I completely disagree and think you should be exiled to Madison Square Garden.

Of course, it could happen. Anything could happen, but if you're laying down odds and looking at this with all the facts staring you in the face wouldn't you say that the Celtics will win on the road before they lose at home? Luckily, neither one has to happen for the Celtics to win the NBA Championship.

BrokenLefty, you make good points, but the thing that bothers me is the manner in which the Celtics have lost. Bricking poor shot after poor shot, porous defense, laxity on the boards...it's not as if it was a double-overtime slugfest or a really tight game that came down to the last basket, it was superstars that cannot do what they're here for and a team that consistently loses focus in clutch situations.

I agree with your overall point, though: no need to panic yet.

You know, I am very very emotional, that's why I react in such a way. And stop blacking out facts! 5 straight road losses is NOT good! And just think of the way we lost them. Bricking 3-pointers.

And the Pistons are up 3-1 against a team that is definitely better than Cleveland.

Bricking open shots isn't really such a bad thing since they've shown in the past that they are excellent shooters. Players miss shots all the time, but Ray Allen has, over the course of 5300 3 point attempts proven that he will hit 39.7% of them. Given a small enough sample, he can go 2-20 or 15-20 and it will be within range of expectations.

Celtics didn't really play that well, but they didn't play so horribly either--they just missed open shots. It happens. The defense is still pretty nice.

But what comes first, winning on the road or losing at home? The deeper we get into the playoffs, the more obvious it gets.

Return to Boston Celtics
