Garnett No Points in the 4th quarter?
Someone correct me if that's wrong. I believe I just heard that stat a couple times, wow.
Doc Rivers has to be on notice. That's ridiculous. I'm hype as a Cleveland fan, but I feel for you guys. Something's not right from a strategic standpoint. I don't know what the answers are. From what I could see KG sat on the bench way too long. If you want to get him that rest do it earlier.
Boston has put a lot of pressure on themselves to win at home. A lot more pressure than needed. The Cavs almost took them to overtime in the 1st one so there are some serious issues that need to be addressed in that Boston locker room.

4th quarter lineups have been horrible! big baby gettin his first minutes tonite?!?!?! what was doc thinking? did powe do something to piss off doc??? even if he did, screw it. this is the ffin playoffs!
& dont gimme that KG didnt score ****. he was the only one, aside from brown & maybe rondo, who did anything tonight. KG's been the ONLY consistent celtic in the playoffs.

garnett is a finesse player; he can't move his man off the block. in general we are a finesse. jump shooting team. we desperately need an inside presence as perk is not the answer. right now it looks like we lose this series 4-2. I'm very disappointed in this team. after a wonderful season we're playing like frauds

it was dumb of Doc to play Big Baby, but PJ paid off so that was a good move. I don't get Perk sometimes, PJ looked better with the starters than he does...Posey who has been solid throughout the playoffs, didn't look good at all tonight, he was a -18.....
LeBron played 44 minutes for the Cavs, even with being in "foul trouble." KG played 40 for us, I would have liked to see him play at least as much as James.

mr_sunshine wrote:Uhh, how can they show heart when Doc almost INSTANTLY benches anyone that gets hot? Rondo and Ray played so well in the 3rd, and then both sat about 8 minutes in the fourth. And this is a reoccuring trend. As soon as anyone gets hot Doc benches them and puts in the worst lineup possible.
If you have heart you fight through all that. You fight through poor coaching, a hostile environment, a bad game, an injury, the refs or anything else.
That's what having heart is about and for the first time I'm questioning how much heart the Celtics' players have.

Here let me question the heart of LeBron and the Cavs after Mike Brown starts the fourth quarter of a close game in Boston with a lineup of Dwayne Jones, Damon Jones, Pavlovic, Boobie, and Ben Wallace and the Cavs lose all their momentum, synchronization on offense, and eventually crumble down the stretch. Clearly it was the players' fault for having no heart while they were sitting on the bench watching the 6-10 guys in there getting mopped up by the Cavs starters. Yup, that's it. No heart for them! That's why the bench cheers all game for the starters, and the starters cheer all game for the bench.

I did not absolve Doc Rivers. He's been awful and that's obvious, but the players have to accept some responsibility. KG, PP, Ray, Cassell, etc... have not shown me an ounce of heart this this whole playoffs.
It's easy to be a front runner, it's easy to pounce on teams at home, but what do they do on the road when things aren't in their favor and aren't going their way. Doc has been an embarrassment and ultimately he might be the scapegoat if Boston doesn't make the finals.
They aren't going to make the finals playing trying to win every home game so Doc has a lot of work to do, but his players have also let him down.
