Our offense SUCKS!

Post#1 » by BillessuR6 » Tue May 13, 2008 3:13 am

Who would have thought coming into this season we are going to have trouble scoring.

But we are the worst offensive team in the playoffs!

And the funny part is. Doc said at the beginning of the season that Thib will take over the defense and he will be responsible for our offense! Is it just coincidence that we suck this much on offense? I think not!

I mean, KG was hot in the first half but then he doesn`t get any touches in the whole third quarter and until the last few minutes of the fourth.

And there were so many breakdowns on offense it was unbelievable. Stupid three pointers in the dying seconds, off balance jumpers, it looked like we have no offensive scheme.

CLE takes away our basic stuff and we look completely lost out there. We look like some college team instead of a veteran NBA team. Pathetic!

And I will just say this one last time, because I don`t have the energy anymore.

Please, please play House! He gives us a totally different dimension, he can punish their defense! Give Eddie a chance for the sake of our offense and our playoff hopes! Please!

When we get knocked out by Clev or Detroit...Eddie House will pack his bags and NEVER look back---cause Doc Rivers has completely screwed him and this team in the playoffs....66 Wins WITH Eddie coming off the bench...NOW, no minutes at all.

In the regular season, the Celts scored because they ran a modified fast break and pushed the pace. In the playoffs, the fast break has been non-existent. Also, playing such intense defense seems to be wearing the team out so that the offense suffers.

Still need to give the Cavs credit they definitely tighten up the defense and take our 1st and 2nd options away and by that time the shot clock is running down and you get a desperation shot or rushed shot.

Where is the ball movement? It's all one on one stuff at this point.

Yep, it's definitely the fact that Eddie House isn't playing that has cost this team. If only Eddie House was playing his normal 15 minutes a game like he did during the season, the C's would have won every game by at least 10 and maybe 50% of this board would be somewhat happy with the team.

I don't think it's about playing one player and looking at him as a savior, it's more about tampering with a rotation that has worked fine all season. It can mess the chemistry of the team with those types of changes. But someone mentioned earlier in the thread about the lack of ball-movement. That was something this team has thrived on, and it's severely lacking. They are buckling under defensive pressure, too many quick shots, too much one-on-one, and the offense has been absolutely stagnant on the road. This offense has worked towards getting easier shots for each other, and it seems like it's now a struggle for every possession on the road.

Shots are not falling in plain and simple. All of our players are TIRED and exhausted. You can simply tell. That 7 game series vs the Hawks really put a lot of mileage on their legs. C's cannot count on the home court advantage. They HAVE TO WIN ON THE ROAD in order to get somewhere. That's what championship teams do. If they DON'T win a single game on the road which to me is a high possibility then they DO NOT deserve to be the champions.

Our offense is GOOD and defense is also good but Cavaliers and even Atlanta are great defensive teams that don't get ANY credit for it.
