Go to the House for 3

Post#1 » by armageddon » Tue May 13, 2008 4:11 am

You cannot win in the NBA anymore without a strong 3-point shooting effort. All teams are collapsing into the paint and stopping the penetrators knowing that the refs are going to allow more physical play under the basket.

You watch any team during these playoffs, and when a team goes on a run, its because they spread their offense mixing in a generous amount of 3-pointers. Eventually this opens up the lane for their better player to drive. The C's are taking mid-range jumpers with the time expiring which probably end up being lower percentage shots than the 3's they pass up earlier in the clock.

We need House to back up Rondo, it was good for 66 wins. Let Sam backup Ray, he probably will be more useful.

I'm not sure why Doc hasn't made the move to try House yet. There is no way possible he could be worse than Cassell with the way Sam is struggling.

The team should be pumping up Posey to take more shots also. Twice he passed up open 3's that ended up with Rondo taking a long jumper to avoid the 24 (and I'm not against Rondo shooting).

That is what I'M TALKING ABOUT! House is the man, and they used him during the whole season, but hardly at all in the playoffs? I don't understand why. If it's not broke don't fix it.
