trade all their bad contracts or time them all to expire in 2010 so they can sign LBJ, Bosh or DWade (or maybe all of them who knows its the Knicks).

What about other realistic moves like Randolph for Yao and Curry for D-Howard?

So the 2010 NY Knicks starting lineup can be: Rose, LBJ, Matrix, D-Howard and Yao.

lol i know i was checking it out earlier cuz i find it so hilarious that the knicks brought in Dantoni who is obviously going to want them to run, yet they have the most overweight out of shape team in the league. Plus he's not known for his defense and that is something the Knicks desperatley need to learn.

Can you imagine Randolph, Curry, and Qrichardson "running" and "hustling" up and down the court. Obviously they're going to have to do a complete overhaul of this team if it's going to work out, but I just don't see how they're going to do it.

this just in the knicks will also be the first team to win the title without making the playoffs.

so you guys DONT see them bringing in Nash to tutor Rose as the pg of the future?? whats crazy about that scenario??

I heard the Celtics were going to get Garnett and Ray Allen and keep Pierce. Weird, huh?

I would love to see the 7 sec. or less in the east I think it would be fun, will the knicks be good next year? no, the year after? hmm a chance, but I would LOVE to see a knicks vs celtics eastern final I think it would be amazing

1. The Marbury for Diaw and Barbosa was on wiretap.
2. Getting the #1 (or maybe #2) overall pick to acquire Rose can still happen.
3. I did not see a serious discussion about getting Nash (link?). That will obviously not happen.
4. See no. 3 regarding Marion.

I GUARANTEE you that the Knicks will be able to trade Crawford, Curry and Randolph for shorter contracts and make a play for Lebron at 2010.

Bottom line - this thread is misinformed, misleading and just plain unintelligent. Why are Celtics fans concerned with one of the worse teams in the league anyway?

I think we should all be a little more humble regarding trade ideas. How many (Please Use More Appropriate Word) trade ideas did you see on our board prior to acquiring Allen and KG?

I've really never seen so many freaking out, reactionary threads on any board, so we definitely win the 'lack of perspective' award here at realgm.

The Knicks have only one good player/contract. That is Lee.

It is going to be a long rebuild there, and the Knicks fans will have to get used to seeing European players as they will be able to play Mike D'Antoni's way and will also be easy to sign as free agents. Planinic and Welsch to return to the NBA.

Mike D'Antoni has to get rid of most of the roster there because they are all coach-killers.

Marbury, Malik Rose and Jerome James will be useful contracts to trade. As they are ending soon. Curry and Randolph are terrible, and if Mike D'Antoni doesn't get rid of them quickly then Mike D'Antoni will not last too long in New York.

Everyone at the Suns could shoot and pass, but now Mike D'Antoni has Jeffries and Balkman, if he can turn that team around then Mike D'Antoni will be coach of the year.

Well, this season I've learned that trades, no matter how dumb they seem, can still happen. Imagine the response a Gasol for Kwame trade proposal would have gotten around here...

I don't know where LBJ will end up, but saying that the Knicks can't shed Randolph, Crawford and Curry is idiotic. The bet is for the Knicks being able to trade those three, not for Lebron actually landing in NY.

And I couldn't find a single discussion on the Knicks board about the Matrix or Nash traded to the Knicks. Too much arrogance from a board of a team which was the worse in the league less than 100 games ago.

Truth is that the Knicks board is one of the most realistic boards in RealGM. If you put up a stupid idea like that guy did, you will get shot down quickly.

If you're looking at delusional, you should checkout the Bulls board, where they have Tyrus Thomas as being a perennial allstar and are trading Kirk Hinrich for Derrick Rose.
