the fun thing about those days was that we all knew our roster was hardly good enough to make the playoffs.... so the overachieving was really fun.

All the Celtics have to do is win every home game. Doesn't sound too hard.

But if Moses was saying "Fo,Fo,Fo" he was expecting to also win road games.

Is Perkins saying "7,7,7,7". That is a lot of games to be playing.

the celtics got to start winning some road games or they are in trouble , the teams are just going to get tougher down the road , if it's a celtics lakers final , i think the lakers might win a game in boston.

Every championship team has won at least 3 road games.

Did you just compare Perkins to Moses Malone? I hope not.
I love it when post whole threads about relaxing and all they do is rant and rave in them.

Grant, you sound very relaxed and confident in your post. Why don't the celts win 1 on the road instead just disappearing every fourth quarter!! That is what i would like to see. Win tonight, then go into CLE and just mop the floor with them. Over in 6. I would appreciate that just for my anxiety levels.

Hater.

The point of this thread is, people who have been die-hard celtics fans for the last decade or two are elated to be in this position. It is one thing to criticize certain things , but another to whine constantly.

I don't get a jolly vibe on this board, but props to posters like SuperDeluxe for

I've stuck with this team through ML Carr, Fatione and Obie Ball, I sure as hell am not going to waver my loyalty now. The Celtics have home court adv and are in a great position. Would it be nice to have them win a road game. Of course, and they will, perhaps to close out the series with a big screw you to every one who doubted their will and determination.

I think the celts should have won half their road games.

I had my same reservation about the O'Brien teams, but let's not count our chickens before they hatch -- Jim still has gotten further than Doc thus far, and with much less.

Hells yeah...I've been with this team from the glory days of the early-1980s to the dark days of Pitino and beyond....I will never lose faith in the C's!

:rocking:

This is true. Let's be clear, I'm not saying we should all be dillusionally optimistic. Criticism is necessary, but some don't know the difference between criticism and hysteria. Props to spf211 for being a die-hard and a good poster.

Props to Canman for being a die-hard and a good poster as well, even though he warns me for calling morons, "morons".

I am harsh on this team and will do so until they prove themselves. For those of you who weren't lucky enough to go through the Larry Bird era you wouldn't understand where the older people here come from.
They have been touting Garnett, Pierce, and Allen as the next big three all year. As of right now I don't know if they can even carry Bird, McHale, and Parish's jock for them. They meed to show the mental toughness as did the original big three, and as of right now it just isn't there. These guys had a toughness that made them will wins, lets see if this new three can. The jury is still out.
