I know Boston's problem!!!!

Post#1 » by MP Eagle » Thu May 15, 2008 12:40 am

As much as K.G. has helped out on defense and on offense, Yall really do miss Al Jefferson. When yall have a lead the whole team (like Barkley said) are taken hard shots or jump shots..

Not knocking K.G. (because you cant..lol) but I can count the number of times this post season, he has made a post up move that is not a jump shot.

I know that 15 footer is his game, but you all are desperately hurting for a person to pound it in to. You will not be able to win a championship with out being physical on offense on the inside...just my point of view...(for a reference see Dirk and the Mavs... 7 foot guy who dont like to post up).

Money wise It would have been impossible to keep Al, Paul , K.G., and Allen..so I hope a big man of that caliber is on you all off season agenda....

KG's shooting like 65% this series, he doesnt see the ball enough, thats the problem.

The main problem as a whole is Boston has no cohesive offensive system, players dont know where the shots are coming from.

I also find it funny, that the one player everyone had question marks about this season, has been you all's most consistant player...rondo!!!

The original poster is 100 pct corrct, we have zero low post offense, when teh jumpers aren't falling, we're in trouble.

If we could have traded the pick for Garnett instead of Jefferson, and forgotten about Allen, it would have been perfect. But Minnesota wouldn't take that deal and Garnett wouldn't want to come.

The problem is we aren't making shots and Cassell doesn't belong in the game.
Tony Allen on Wally would help a little too.

There definitely is a lack of low post offense, but if it wasn't for KG, the Boston Celtics wouldn't have come this far. So yes, we miss Big Al, but KG is always going to be the better option.

The lack of post offense can be negated by more slashing and getting to the FT line.

when you come out of the east and play against the west where almost the whole starting line up is 6'6 or tall (exaggerating) we will see how much slice through the paint will be effective..Not every team has a Tony parker, deron williams, or Paul.
