We've been waiting a LONG time to see a Boston Celtic point guard perform like that in the playoffs. GREAT JOB for Rondo.

Rajooooonnnnnn ROOOONDDDO!

He was so baller tonight, it was ridiculous. I couldn't believe Doc didn't bench him after he took over the game.... so unlike Doc not to do that! Oh, and it was great to see Pierce FINALLY get a dunk in a halfcourt set. It seemed like ages since he's done that.

Rondo .. easy choice.

KG and PP were great, as well. A hat tip for Perkins' defensive intensity which certainly played a part in the game's result.

I love when Rondo dominates the ball in the half-court because he, more oft than naught, makes the correct play. When he does err, it usually isn't because he is over-shooting, either. I absolutely hate Ray dribbling in the half-court because I find his overall decision-making poor, he ignores open teammates and tends to force shots.

That was the big difference in this game, imo. The ball wasn't in Ray's hands for much of the game. Ray needs to play off the ball and support the three stars of this team, imo.

Lebron votes for Rondo

""When they were down he hit those two 3s, and that was something defensively that we wanted to give up," James said. "He was the X-factor. You know, 20 and 13 and only one turnover, it speaks a lot. Without Rondo it would have been a much tougher game for them to win. He was definitely the player of the game tonight."

Exactly. I had a tough choice between KG and Rondo but I went with Rondo.

That block he had on West was amazing...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Rondo because he played tonight like he did all year. He wasn't tenative or afraid. He just went to the hoop and if someone was open he nailed them with a pass. Also he didn't pick up his dribble once and put himself in a bad position. It was as if DOC said I hae faith in this guy and I will play him a majority of the minutes.

Question, how serious is the Gibson injury and will he be able to go on Friday?

I was at the game and when I first saw it happen, looked like a separated AC (shoulder) joint. I've done that twice (both shoulders) and it was almost he exact same reaction as Gibson had. I heard on ESPN they are calling it a shoulder contusion but it looked more serious than that.

As far as the Cigar Award, hands down Rondo. I think we saw his best game as a pro last night. He was absolutely dominant.

Rondo was absolutely amazing last night. If he brings that effort every night along with the big three, mainly Ray Allen playing well then we will be very tough to beat.

I agree, when his arm was dangling the first thing I thought was dislocation. No way that's a simple contusion unless he's a huge wimp.

Rondo turned the game around for us so it was easy for me.
