Doc Rivers is getting an extension this summer like he should. The bottomline is KG, Pierce & Ray Allen want him to be the coach and that's all that matters. Ainge wants him back also. Get use to it.

They don't care what people on RealGM think.

The only chance at seeing Doc fired was lost when he won the series against the Hawks. Ainge needed some undeniable blow-up to make a change -- from here on out they can chaulk it up to "LeBron was an amazing talent!" or "Detroit went to six straight Conference Finals!" or "It was just Phil and Kobe's year!"

Actually I really believe that Pierce and most players on the Celtics can't stand Doc and that they respect Tom Thibideu a lot more. Pierce never got along with Doc.

celtics17pride, what gives you the impression that the players love Doc? Him and Pierce have clashed in the past and whenever Doc addresses him, he just ignores him and acts like he doesn't hear anyone.

and don't think that Doc is suddenly a great coach because he makes some of the worst decisions i've ever seen. His assistants are all for the most part better coaches and decision makers than him.

They clashed the 1st year when Doc wanted Pierce to be more of a team player.

All year long I've seen Pierce, KG & Ray Allen as well as all of the Celtic players do nothing but praise Doc Rivers. A coaches job is to get the players to play for him and Doc gets an A+ for that. His players play for him.

No it wasn't. It's because of Rondo, PP and KG's play.

Once again, this is the classic stance from Doc Haters. When the Celtics lose it's Doc's fault. When the Celtics win it's the players doing it inspite of Rivers.

Greg Dickerson was making fun of you last night on the postgame.

I still say you are related to him ^^^

and you take the exact opposite stance. I'm sure there are things he has done which you can agree were bad decisions, but you defend his actions no matter what and blame everything on the players (maybe you ARE him).

Exactly. I love how if we win and the D is good, Thibs is the reason, but if the D is bad and we lose, Doc's fault.

I will laugh so hard at those riding Thib's sack when he is losing 50 games as HC of the Bulls next year.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Playoff performance doesn't matter as long as you are BFF with your boss?
