Personally I recoil from all the non-basketball crap: celebrities, mascots, T shirt guns, cheerleaders, in-game entertainment, non-organ produced music, pyrotechnics, and anything else introduced to an arena after approximately 1958.

It makes money? Good for someone. All I want is basketball. Everything else is a distraction.

Great read Gant, thanks for the link! I've often wondered about why teams play better at home, and this author gave a pretty interesting breakdown about the various theories.

Still, when it comes to KG, it's all about the crowd!

anyone notice the celtics don't play music when the actual game is going on like every other arena does

i dont understand how david stern let that crap started...how can you play music as the game is in progress?!?!?!

it irks me to no end
