Danny Ainge should fire Doc Rivers because:

1. Danny Ainge did a very good job of getting Doc 2 all stars.
2. Danny did a very good job of giving Doc the veteran players he needed to suround Pierce, KG, and Allen. Ainge went out and got Posey, House, P.J. Brown, and Cassell.
3. Ainge got Doc a great defensive coach in Tom Thibodeau. Thibodeau led this team to become the best defensive team in the NBA.

So Danny Ainge got Doc Rivers the all stars to go allong with Pierce. Ainge got him veterans that Doc wanted and got him a great defensive coach. A defensive coach that is the best in the game and a 100 x better than that clown Tony Brown. And how does has Doc repay you and the Celtic fans? He guides this team to two 7 games series against two weaker teams.

Let's face it. The Hawks were a good team, but we should have beat them in 5 games at the most. The Cavs were a much better team when they had the Celtic Killer in Drew Gooden to go along with Lebron, BIg Z, and Larry Hughes. The only two good players on the Cavs are Lebron and Big Z. What's funny about that is even though we have contained Lebron for most of the series, we are still going to another game 7.

Great coaching job, Doc. Danny Ainge should have fired you 3 years ago when we lost a game 7 by 30 **** points at home with you as our coach.

P.S. Doc. I love the way you played Ray Allen 42 minutes tonight. After all, why wouldn't you. Ray has been playing great the whole time. No he didn't look old or tired out there. I was just wondering why you didn't just play him the entire 48?

Well excuses before were "Doc didn't have the talent to achieve" and now that he has the talent, it's all the players' fault. Was it really the players fault that it took Doc 12 games to realize what most had figured out about a week into the playoffs -- that we needed Eddie House?

As I said in my post, "Atlanta will be the easiest loss to handle," the disgrace being wrought on this franchise is only going to grow greater the further we go in the playoffs. Can anyone image the ultimate disgrace when Doc squares off against Phil Jackson and the Lakers and enables Phil to surpass Red in championship rings? It's utterly disgusting.

But maybe Doc deserved a shot after going through several years of rebuilding. And he has it, and hasn't performed as he should given the level of talent he has. When series keep extending to 7 games and the same inexplicable problems keep on turning up -- it's larger than Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, Sam Cassell or Kendrick Perkins.

I hope Ainge has the courage to axe Doc this year, but as I've said before, the only real shot we had at getting rid of Rivers was a first round loss to Atlanta. That defeat would be undeniable -- from here on out, watch the excuses roll and Doc sign an extension.

I don't know...it's not Doc's fault the refs are screwing us and keeping us out of a legit chance to win any road games.

The sad thing is, Danny already offered this clown an extension, even before he can see how this coach performs in the playoffs. Luckily Doc was cocky enough to say he can wait until after the season is over. Whew!

66 wins, the best turn around in NBA history, and now we aren't beating opponents easily enough in the play-offs and the hate comes pouring in? You can always question rotations, it's easy to look smart questioning them after a loss. You people are just plain ridiculous. If we win a ring will you all just shut the **** up with the Doc hate? It's one thing to disagree with how he coaches, but the venom some people have towards him is just ridiculous.

Dont blame the refs for losses, they play both sides. I dont want to blame DOc but check his track record, hes just not a good playoff coach

Avery Johnson, 2007 Mavs - 67 Wins - Lose in 6 in 1st round to an inferior team, team morale is broken and he's fired. Lost in 6 in finals the year before.

i don't wanna hear the 66 wins garbage. Good coaches don't let their title contending teams lose to noticably weaker teams.

If they have another good regular season next year and bomb out of the playoffs early, or if they don't make the playoffs at all, then maybe and I repeat maybe, they replace him.

Isn't Doc the one responsible for our offense? The one that has looked like utter trash through most of this series? We're not forcing the tempo at all and we're just running into their half court defense. I don't understand it. Meh...

I personally am not hating on Doc for his rotations. Because it's more than rotations that Doc is **** up on. Doc is a very likely guy. But that doesn't mean he is a good coach.

Lot of people here still remember the game 7 loss at home a few years ago vs the Pacers. That was one of the worst, most embarrassing lose in Celtic history. Doc was the coach at that time. After that, I've never thought Doc was a good coach.

Besides the rotation problems, Doc has had problems getting Ray Allen going. He has not addressed this issue. Ray Allen was a key to our success all year, now he is struggling to score 10 points on Wally. He hasn't done much about this problem. How about having him come off of double screens? How about running some curl plays for him? How about playing on the same side as KG and posting KG to draw the double teams and kick it out to Ray for some open baskets? I guess that would be asking for too much in a coach.

It's not like he Doc has to worry about the defense, Tom T. has done a great job with that.

Exactly. That is sad. But remember, not everything that Ainge does is gold. Ainge also gave Jim O'Moron a contract extension. He did the same thing with Blount too. I just hope Ainge learns ffrom his mistakes.

I'm still rooting for my team to win a championship. I'll worry who will coach us next year to our second consecutive title after the NBA finals.

It's game seven. We havent lost a home game yet. Good chance we're going to the ECF. Calm down and enjoy some of that kool aid with me.

I thought Doc did a nice job coaching today - stuck with Eddie and used Powe and Brown wisely.

Thank God we won, but Doc effed up not utilizing Hack a Ben when the situation was perfect for it.

If we lost the game, I would have wanted him fired.
