Unbelievable game. I figured we'd be up against it if the 4th quarter was close, and sure enough that was a ridiculous number of things Lebron got away with in the 4th. Grabbing Pierce's jersey? No foul. Mugging Pierce and stealing the ball? No foul. Double dribble? Not in Lebron Rules, baby!!!

And then he has the gall to go **** when he whacks Pierce on the head and the refs absolutely positively have to call a foul.

I have to say, until these playoffs Lebron was probably my favorite player in the NBA outside of the C's. I love his intensity, his utter physical dominance, his ability to will a crappy team to ridiculous heights.

But this playoffs have made me lose a LOT of respect for Lebron. It's not just that the NBA is ridiculously favoring him, it's also that he EXPECTS it, and thinks he DESERVES it. He whines relentlessly. He overdramatizes fouls so much it's beyond belief. It's amazing all his vital organs are intact at the end of the game given how many life-threatening injuries he suffers over 48 minutes. Then when the refs have the audacity to actually call a foul on him, he acts like he's been personally violated. I thoughts the Wiz in the last series were spewing sour grapes, but now I see what they were talking about.

Please Lebron. Get over yourself. Get over your sense of entitlement. Go back to being the Lebron that was a guy worth respecting regardless of who you were rooting for.

He really does ham it up if he gets knocked down. That's not even flopping really; I don't know what it is, or what good there is in acting like you're about to die after you get knocked down. Maybe he's just kind of a wimp, pain threshhold wise?

Yea, I'm in the same boat. I love watching Lebron play, except against the C's of course, and it bothered me how much he complained in this series. He was looking at the refs after every single drive to the hoop giving them the glare if they didn't blow the whistle. And the amount of stuff they let him get away with is ridiculous. I can't totally blame him though, pretty much every star player in the league thinks he got fouled on every play, and its totally the refs fault. Why do Kobe, Lebron, Duncan, Pierce, Wade, Iverson, Ginobli, etc. all think they got fouled on every play? Because the refs have been putting them to the line on pretty much every single play. If the refs didn't give them the star card, I don't think many of these guys would be acting like such entitled babies.

I do think Lebron presents sort of an interesting case though, because he's like Shaquille in his prime in that he's pretty much an impossible guy to officiate. Like Shaq, Lebron has the strength to absorb all sorts of fouls and not get fazed, so it's tough to tell when he actually did get fouled. Unfortunately, I feel like, as was the case with Shaq, the refs give the presumption of a foul far too often.

My deal with Lebron is this. I can't think of a player I have more respect for. Respect = complete fear/awe of what he can do in the crunch, no matter how crappy the players are around him.

My deal with Nike and NBA, is being pounded down the throat with Bron this and Bron that on Espn and ABC 24/7. Lebron elbowing Pierce with Doug Collins going on about how Lebron is so mature for not getting mad for Pierces soft foul... ugh. The commercials... the everything...

There's two sides to Bron. The player and the ad campaign. I can't get mad at Bron for his ad campaign getting ridiculously favored and grabbing attention. Thats what good ad campaigns are supposed to do. It's just tiring.

I still like Bron as a player, but I'm glad we didn't let Nike/ABC/ESPN/TNT go off in a Bronplosion because he beat the best team in the nba. Eff that.

I agree with the OP. I used to like Lebron and he is still a great player. But his sense of entitlement is beyond annoying. In this series you kind of feel the "good guys" won - and not just because I am a Celtics fan.

Lebron acts like the world owes him something and that everything should automatically go his way. I think all star players have SOME of this but for whatever reason Lebron's act seems out of whack compared to other stars like Kobe or Jordan. Like the OP said Lebron gets so many bogus calls he now EXPECTS them..

His great career will be short-lived. He is only human unless Cleveland spends a lot of money to support him.
