Do you think we could have beaten the Cavs or Atlanta on the road with Eddie instead of Sam?

Is it just me, or does the team feel much more alive when Eddie is in the rotation?

All I know is, as soon as Doc brought him in in Game 6, the C's immediately reminded me of the team we'd been watching all year.

If Eddie wasn't so cold coming off the bench, we might have really gotten some offensive output from him and it might have helped avoid a couple of those awful team offensive performances.

Eddie just bring pure energy! Like you said the team feels much more alive when he is in. Had he played in previous games we would have won on the road at least once, IMO.


But I have the same feeling with Ray Allen as I do with Cassell. There is no energy...You put Tony in and he will bring energy. Ray just looks so "dead"...

I don't give a **** if Eddie goes 0/10 on any given night, I'm sure he'd still have a better impact than Sam. The guy actually plays D, doesn't dribble too much, never tries to do too much, and flat out hustles! The play where he saved it to Posey was amazing. Much props to Eddie for all that he brings to the team.

Eddie, no doubt.

Sam was brought in as insurance if Rondo goes down, IMO. House and Posey got us here and belong on the court.

Sam's value comes against Billups in the ECF

No, Eddie played in game 6. He played more mins, scored more and overall played better than he did in game 7 and we scored 69 points as a team. Much like Ray Allen, while Sam has struggled overall in the playoffs and specifically in the CLE series, they have also had performances that have lead directly to wins. Having completely replaced either one of them in the line up with Eddie House would likely mean we would be discussing why they haven't fired Doc already.

Like GW said it was Eddie and Tony's performances against the Pistons, specifically defensively and handling the ball that lead for many to clamor for Sam in the first place.

Unless somebody heats up Doc is going to have to tinker with things and try and get blood from a stone.

I think House's undeniable impact in games 6 & 7, coupled with Sam's balky back (we've all seen the shots of him on the floor with ice on his back the last 2 games) mean House has become the 1st G off the bench.

Granted, Cassell was acquired with an eye toward defending Billups in the playoffs (too big for Rondo? we'll see), but he's just been so ineffective I don't think you can justify it.
