OT: Celtics intro

Post#1 » by dainfamusgc » Wed May 21, 2008 12:42 am

What is the name of the song on the intro, not when they're doing the starting lineups but before that when they do that little collage.

Thanks

 your the second person who just asked this, I never even noticed the song. Anyway, the answer is at the end of page 8 in the game thread.

I think it's some remix or rearrangement of Lux Aeterna. I've heard it before, since it's fairly commonly used, and I think I've even heard of what it specifically was called, but it's faster and overall different than the Lux Aeterna I have on my Requiem for a Dream soundtrack.

Good song IMO for a "Dream-like" sort of intro.

I'm not to high about it being a dream. The Celtics will take it. Hopefully they smash the Lakers while their at it.

None the less, a great song.

This music (particularly the remixed version) has often been used on movie trailers as well as other sporting events. I remember The Two Towers LOTR movie trailer had it and the NFL used it for some playoff promos. Kind of disturbing to have images of Jennifer Connelly performing lewd sex acts for smack running through your head at the start of a basketball game....

At least they aren't using O Fortuna like most other arenas.

I think it is Justin Timberlake and Fifty Cent. It is produced by Timberland.

The first time I heard Lux Aertna was at an OZZY concert. He open every show with it for years now.

I think you're talking about the beat they play when they do the Celtics starting line up. It definitely sounds like that "Technology" song by Fifty and Timberlake but with almost everything taken out of it. It's a hot beat for sure.

Does anyone know the other song they use sometimes, it's slower and then gets faster. I think it has "I believe in..." in the beginning. I remember KG was jamming to it one time.

Thanks!! That was driving me crazy. I actually don't like that song before the game as much as some of the others, it's kind of a downer.

Maybe it's just stock audio, but anyone know what the song is during the actual lineup introduction, if it has a name?

You could get it on a 12 inch. Most 12 inch vinyl has an instrumental and an accapella side.

Sorry, didn't see this before I posted. Is that the song?

God bless Timbaland.
