Is he still injured? Is Rondo giving him problems? Has he lost a bit of his confidence? Is Stucky becoming the main man? Will he bounce back in game 4? Will the media blame a Detroit series loss on the Billups injury rather than Celtics superiority?
I'm axhausted.

Frankly (pistons fan here), I'm ready to trade Billups and roll with Stuckey as our starter, since Billups always sucks in the ECF.

For real? I can understand the struggles and whatnot and I didn't see him too much during the season, but I get the impression that he'd be a guy Pistons fans would want around 'til he retires. Kinda how I wouldn't be able to see Pierce get traded even when he's on the backside of his career. Am I off base or is that a frustration post?

I think Billups might still be hurting a bit, but I don't think his bad play is solely due to injury. Look what he did in the playoffs last year against Cleveland. He was atrocious... a turnover machine. Personally, I thought if you could blame one person for their collapse against Cleveland last season, I would say it was Chauncey's horrible play. I think he is living off his great play in 2004 playoffs.... hasn't really been that good in the playoffs since.

Ehh he's not living off of it, he never talks about being a finals mvp or anything, its the media, not Billups himself.

well of course HE'S not going to crow about it. but he did get that fat contract and he hasn't been the same in the playoffs since.

I think he's about 85 or 90%, the injury isn't a huge concern. Although he did play 27 minutes last night. Billups is just a choke artist all of the sudden, he and Sheed are our most talented players, and seem to stop showing up when the games get big.
It's really frustrating. I feel bad for guys like McDyess who are out there busting their asses and watching Billups lay an egg.

ok sorry....Billups did two goods things in his career....He helped keep the Lakers from winning a title...and he told KG to play in Boston...so I guess I can't really hate him....for now.

HELL NO.
Why would we want a PG on the downside of his career for a 22 yr old kid who's gonna be great?
**** A NO to that trade!

I would never trade Rondo for Billups even if it was just a Swap.

Billups is injured -- I would not trade Rondo for him, but if this was two years ago, and I could guarantee he'd be healthy for the next three years or so, it'd be a no brainer.
Chauncey is having alternating good and bad games thus far, if that continues, the Celtics have the series in the bag.
And if anyone wants to call someone dirty on the Pistons, especially in the backcourt, it's Rip Hamilton, not Billups.

No doubt. I wonder if he's be as great if all that **** was called? I always used to wonder the same about Reggie Miller. No doubt both are great shooters but would they have been as prolific if the dirty stuff was called?

I think Billups is injured and severely limited and that he got the needle before game 2 (game 1 and game 2 a night and day difference). He just cannot get shot up before every game.
