I thought there might be some interest in this since you guys just came off a series vs. Cleveland..

Watching the playoffs this year, I couldn't take it anymore. If I have to watch Varejao or Ginobili have one more seizure on a touch foul, I'm gonna throw up. Flopping has reached the point where every game is affected, and I am disgusted by it as somebody that loves pure basketball.

I've started a petition to end flopping: http://www.floppolice.com/petition

It is targeted to the Competition Committee, who recommend rule changes, in hopes of getting their attention. Once there are enough signatures, I will push to get this noticed by the committee.

I will also track progress and give news updates about the anti-flopping movement on the site at: http://www.floppolice.com

So, if you are as fed up as I am, sign it and spread the word. Let's raise some hell and make sure they can't ignore flopping anymore!!

This probably won't work and something like that wouldn't be easy to enforce with all the actors the NBA has.

Start assessing technical fouls for absolute nonsense flops

That'd be just as bad as the flopping

They've already taken action in FIBA in the international game. They call techs now for flopping and have been for a few years. Alternatively, you can review tape after the fact and fine/suspend floppers. David Stern suggested that approach. So I think you can absolutely do something about the problem.

honestly. I think it's silly to mend a rule problem with more rules. let's see if players will keep flopping to the floor once they're not getting calls and are just giving up wide open layups.
