I never thought I'd say this but Ray Allen sucks! He's getting worse and worse as the playoffs move on. He is playing with ZERO confidence, he's thinking way too much, and he has NO lift on his shot what so ever.

And then missing 2 free throws down the stretch was the icing on the cake to complete his miserable performance.

Doc will stick with him. He SHOULD stick with him. But if I was coaching this team I would bring Ray Allen off the bench as the 6th man. Start Posey. Give Ray the ball with the 2nd unit and let him go off.

i agree with starting posey. it turns out that the team that comes out with more energy wins the game.

ray has zero confidence right now, as evident with those missed FTs and a lay-up he didn't take and just forced a pass to kg instead. he needs some motivation so put him in the bench as a 6th man so he wakes up.

I still believe in him also, but it's getting harder and harder. Posey doesn't need to start, but he needs to cut into some of Ray's minutes.

I can't believe Ray didn't take that layup and overpassed to KG.

I agree that Ray Allen is struggling and has been awful in the playoffs. But you can't say that he is getting worse and worse as the playoffs move on after watching game 2 of this series.

As for starting Posey, I'm glad you aren't our coach. WTF does Posey do?Posey is great at the intagables but our than that he is an average player.

James Posey has a rep for being a good defensive player, but he can't guard anyone one on one unless they are as slow as Dirk. And Posey will not help on offense where he is very limited outside of his 3's.

Doc will never do this. It took him a series in a half to put house in. And then he already regressed in that.

I am a big ray fan. I am not saying don't yell when he misses a shot. But this "trade him, he's done." or "ray allen sucks" is really pissing me off. The so-called bandwagoners cheered this guy on when he was struggling, and he went on to have a better game, under the fans support. If a guy is struggling mentally, you don't **** boo him!! How can some of you not comprehend this??? I was opposed at first, but now I am glad the so called rich bandwagoners are getting all the tickets, because at least they cheer for ray, rather then boo his ass, like some of you would.

When something doesn't work, you FIX it!! Right now, the Ray Allen in the starting lineup has gotten us NOTHING. He sucks... and he looks like he is lacking in confidence. I would rather have Posey start, guard Rip and hit threes, than have Ray who is letting Rip school him AND contribute nothing on the offensive end.

I never said I was opposed to the idea. I agree that could help him mentally. But, I will repeat, Doc will never do this.

I'm a Ray supporter, but he's been looking like a zombie out there. This series will likely go seven games again; we need Allen to shake off this funk and push us into the finals.

Ray tossed the game at the end tonight. That bad pass to KG on the drive sealed it. It's sad to see him not even have confidence to finish the easy layup on that play, and instead fling it out of bounds.

He's freaking terrible. Think about it, how many starting SG in the league you wouldn't take over Ray at this point in his career?

Rashard McCants, Mike Dunleavy, Anthony Parker, MoPete, Mobely, RBrewer, Stevenson.... that's it.

Yeh, yeh, yeh - KG might not of come here without him - and bla bla bla - hindsight is 20/20 -

but... this team minus Ray and Sam I Am plus Delonte and #5 (Thad, Thornton, Noah, Stuckey) = much better chemistry IMHO.

Don't take this the wrong way guys. I like Ray Allen. I'm just not in-love with his game right now. I think he had a nice season for us and I think he'll rest up and have an even better season for us next year, but as of RIGHT NOW he's our weakest link.
He's not playing like Ray Allen. He's playing like an overrated bum.
Do I have faith in him? YES. I do have faith in Ray, and i expect him to come through with a clutch game or shot ala JD Drew sometime this series.

And i disagree with whoever said they'd rather have the 5th pick and Delonte. That's just horseshiiit right there. Ray has had an enormous influence on our younger players. he's a pros pro

my point here is that it's OKAY for Doc to make a major adjustment in the playoffs. Popp does it all the time in San Antonio. If Manu was playing like Ray Allen is playing he would be moved right back into the 6th man role to get him going. All I'm saying is that Ray Allen needs to wake up. A move to the bench as a 6th man wouldn't be the worse thing in the world right now. In fact, i think it would help him focus coming out the gate. And posey is perfectably capable of starting. Bring ray off the bench 4 mins into the game for Perk and go small.

I heard someone say he had some personal problems or something. Anyone have any idea what they may be? If thats so instead of using the game as a relief from his problems he has obviously let his issues get the better of him.

He's missing WIDE open 3s and passing up open shots. I think you guys overpass on offense...probably because Allen passes up his open shots.

He should be in the gym shooting jumpers till he gets his rythm back...otherwise he might as well just start jacking up shots till a few fall.

I've never seen a player tank so much in the playoffs...even an injured player like Ginoble who has two horrible games bounced back.

I like Delonte West and I dislike Ray Allen that's what I'm saying.

Trust me, his lack of gym work is not his problem. He's literally obsessive compulsive, and takes hundreds of jump shots a day. If it was just about a gym workout, he'd be out of the slump.

An average starting SG and we'd be in with at least a 3-1 lead right now.

Think about it, with the exception of about a half in 18 games Ray Allen has been about as good as the 25th best starting SG in the league.

Really puts into perspective how much talent we have riding on our bench and the players that have been steping up for us.
