The Pistons have attempted more FTs in 4 of the games

Post#1 » by GonzoLays » Thu May 29, 2008 7:22 pm

...and Rasheed Wallace is bitching? The Pistons attempted 8 more free throws than the Celtics last night and he was complaining about the officiating? Is that clown serious? And now the Piston fans are complaing about it? Seriously?

With all the reaching and grabbing the Pistons do, we should be on the line the whole game. Hell, Rip Hamilton should foul out by the second quarter if the refs called 1/3 of the **** he does on the court.

AMEN. I said last night to my buddy while watching the game, Hamilton fouls so much, that the refs just give up trying to officiate his defense. It's amazing.

it's obvious David Stern's NBA wants a Lakers - Celtics finals. So ofcourse the refs are gonna make calls favorable to the Celtics.

So why have the Pistons attempted more free throws in four of the five games?

don't hurt yourself trying to come up with an answer either. Its obvious the original post gave you a lot of trouble.

but how come when the Blazers won the draft lottery instead of you guys last year, why did u guys say the NBA is fixed?

so when something goes bad against you, the NBA is fixed..but when something good goes against you, the NBA is not fixed.

I don't think many of us said it was fixed. We said the system was stupid, but not fixed. In fact mnay of us thought that if the draft was fixed, the C's would have gotten Oden.

^^Exactly. Why on earth would Stern want Oden way the **** in Portland where no one will see him instead of in Boston? Makes no sense.

It's still 17 to 11!!!!

pretty much if the nba was fixed

celtics wouldn't have gotten the 5th pick, and they would not have had to fight there way through 2 7 game series where they could be eliminated from david sterns grand master wizard of oz man behind the curtain plan both times

with all that said, the patrick ewing lottery was fixed though

With Rip, just look at him on offense he creates so much contact with Ray it's ridiculous. But hey, that's the NBA refs hard at work

Looking at the stats, while the Pistons had 8 more FTA, they also had 9 more PF (maybe the clown as a bit of a point)

Looking at the stats through game 5, the Pistons have 4 more FTA, BUT the Celtics have had 14 less fouls called on them in the series. That could be thought of as almost 3 possessions a game (assuming that the intentional PFs have evened out)

Excuse me but you get fouls when you attack the rim, Det is a very perimetral team, also, did you notice how many more rebounds the Celts grabbed that Det? I told you 45 more rebounds 11 of witch offensive, more possession, more probability to be fouled...

Did anyones see the play Rip came up lame on?

Prior to the elbow injury, Hamilton was boxing out Allen by grabbing him by the throat.

Never really noticed how dirty he was until watching him the last three games.

Remind me again what *shred* of evidence we have that Stern and the league don't *hate* the Celtics, to say nothing of wanting them in the finals??????

I would amend that a little. If a team has more FTs, it's an indication they they've attacked the rim more. If a team wins the FT stat, but loses the PF stat, it's an indication that more fouls are called away from the basket (e.g. not in the act of shooting). What those stats mean in terms of officiating...

^ You can't possibly think Detroit is fouling less than us since the 4th quarter of game 3. Both coaches pretty much admitted in the game 4 post game press conferences that Detroit was going giving Rileyball a try.

I, too, *do* think the Ewing lottery was fixed, same with the LeBron one, but otherwise I think the lottery has been on the level...the reffing, however, no way!
