I HATE LA

Post#1 » by theman » Fri May 30, 2008 3:44 am

Always have always will.

If I thought the Pistons wold have a better chance to beat the Lakers I would be rooting for them. I hate that San Antonio lost.

We can not lose to the Lakers. They are unworthy of another title.

If the ECF goes to game six the chant at the end of the game has to be "BEAT LA BET LA"!

We still have to finish off detriot.

But I think we match up well against LA. I think Perkins is the X factor in the frontcourt. Perk and KG are IMO the best defensive front court in basketball.

Then if Thibs can game plan against Kobe. I like our chances.

The Laker's seem like a easier match up than Detroit. Just play them like we did Cleveland, yeah they have better players but its still a one man show. We manhandled them in the reg season (doesn't mean much) pre Pau. I'm happy SA is out of it (they scared me more), now if only we can get by Detroit tomorrow.

Oh and damn Chris Wallace for giving the Laker's their version of KG.

I'm just glad none of us have to endure another boring Spurs Finals, I don't think I've watched any of the Finals when they've been in it.

Anyone outside of Michigan or Texas really want a Pistons/Spurs Finals? Didn't think so.

if we dont get there and its another DET/LA finals it's gonna suck.

Bos/LA finals is what everyone wants, it's in the best interest for everyone and really could be awesome.

It'd be even better if the Kobe/Phil hadn't already lost a finals, that would of been a bigger deal to me if we were to play them and beat them.

If phil gets championship 10 against the celtics, that be a cruel twist of faith.

all that said. Boston better play like they know whats on the line tomorrow night cause if this goes 7 even at home, I dont like our chances. Posey and others need to show up.

am i seriously the only celtics fan on here that is psyched at the prospect of an LA BOS finals!?!?!? my word, talk about intense exciting basketball!

i'm psyched, cuz all i've ever witnessed is dvd's of us vs the lakers in the finals...the last time we played them in the finals, i was in my mother's womb...i think so anyways. last time we played them was 87, wasn't it? or was it 88, idr.

either way, i don't remember it firsthand, and would love the opportunity to see my generation have stories to tell their kids about epic battles between the lakers and C's.

We have business to try and take care of first, but if we do advance I welcome this match up more than the Spurs. Hows the defense in the west coast?

That would be disgusting. Who would you root for? It's like having to chose between a spoonful or mucus or a kick to the nuts.

Anyone know where I can get one of those "I Hate LA" t-shirts from the 80's? I have always wanted one.

I love this matchup. No way KG, Pierce, and Allen come this far to let it slip away to Kobe and his bunch.

Oh goodie, I dont know if I can deal with all the Laker trolls. I realize their are some good LA fans. But they are definitely drowned out by the rest of the clowns.

i have been looking at the matchups for a while now------i work with a proud faker fan so we have been debating matchups for a while

KG>>gaysol/radmonoshatcz
PP>>odom
other boston bigs>>>LAbigs
RayRay/TA/Pierce/posey<Kobe
rondo=fishnutzer

our bench>LA bench

i would much rather be playing an up and coming LA than experienced Detroit
especially how we match up

I'm stoked. I wanted a BOS-LA final. I hope we can close out Detroit. Lakers look impressive, their D isn't as bad as all that. Offesnively they're way better than the Cavs. I think it'd be a great series. The C's still haven't played up to their potential like they did in the RS. They'll have to to BEAT LA.

Hey just to let you guys know nothing I say is on a personal note.
I just love ball so we can alway debate about our teams, it's all in gamesmanship with me.

But seriously the Celtic are a hell of team and once or if you finish your job I too welcome the match up.

Take care of business on Friday.
