I'd like to know how a short armed player like Luke Walton is greater then a defensive stud like Posey?! You lost me dude.

Did I just seriously read that Luke Walton is two arrows better than James Posey?

Care to explain this one?

Posey: 7.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, excellent defense

Walton: 7.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg, mediocre defense

It's a judgment call, I suppose, and I can see why somebody would like Walton better. But "<<"? That, I don't understand.

Vujacic is better than Walton. It's hard to justify him being ranked just better than Tony Allen.

Also, you left out Vujacic and Cassell.

Vujacic is included next to Tony Allen.

I prefer House and Tony Allen to Cassell at the point.

I prefer House first at the point, to see if he's hitting. If he starts off 1-3,

then I'd try Tony, who can actually play D, and use his size and athleticism to drive and finish. If Tony is turning the ball over,
then I'd go with Sam.

Walton has a 3 point shot and mid-range shot with excellent passing skills to cutters like Odom, Kobe, Gasol and Fisher.

Offensively Walton is a problem, though he can't guard Pierce (neither can Radmonovic). This is the Lakers biggest problem, although Garnett will give Odom fits, and Rajon can use his quickness against Fisher.

Posey's D is solid, it's his offensive game that comes and goes. He has two offensive moves, the 3 point shot and a drive to the hoop from the 3 point line. That's it.

If he's not hitting 3's, he can't set up his drive since defenders will just lay off him.

So, Posey can disappear, like he did in some of the Atlanta and Cleveland away games.

Walton can't guard LeBron like James can, but in this series, any time Pierce is not on the court, Walton will have the edge over Posey.

Vujacic is definately better than Walton, he can hit the 3 (antoine like high volume) and has been one of their better defenders in the playoffs. Walton is just a good passing garbage man.

Although if Posey can do his best impersonation of Tayshaun Prince, maybe Posey can keep Walton from getting off when Pierce is out.

But, Posey will have to deny Walton the ball, since he's a great passer, and not allow him to get any shots off, since he's a high percentage shooter.

yeah i stopped reading this crappy post after i saw posey<<walton

this is probably true if you are talking about passing, but in terms of a total package of what they bring to their team it is probably the other way around

posey guards the other teams best defensive player at positions 1 through 4
walton guards other 3/4 tweeners
posey hits at nearly EVERY clutch opportunity
walton can usually hit when he's open at home

REDICULOUS

I don't think that Walton will be a point of emphasis for our defense. I also think that Posey would be playing over Walton if he were on the Lakers.

Where you got this I have no idea.

Turiaf is a energy man like Andy V. of Cleveland, where Powe is dangerous on the low block and PJ is a great defender and mid-range shooter.

So...

Powe>Turiaf
Brown>>Turiaf

Turiaf is better than Powe or Brown, and Fisher is better than Rondo, but Posey is better than walton

You guys got a nice front court, where we have Pau Lamar and Radmon, but how do you expect to guard DFish, Sasha, Farmar, Kobe with No D ray and Rondo? Rondo is a nice guard, but he's outclassed here. Billips was playing injured and still killed him.

Have you watched the Celtics this season? We're the best defensive team in the league. Rondo and Ray can handle those guys, cept Kobe. We'll have to wait and see how we attempt to slow down Kobe.

Ray can't handle anybody. He's a horrible defender. Just ask Coach Karl he used to ride Ray, after a while he just gave up.

Your so called best defense in the league is gonna have fits with the Lakers. This is #1 offensive team and the best shooting team, you aren't going to be able to cheat in that zone vs us.
