Interesting pick--- I didn't see Roby play this year but I agree it would be a good idea to bring in a player who can shoot and has a few years of college experience, that is, if we go that route and keep the pick. But that pick is too high for Roby from what I can tell. He does move and shoot a little like Allan Houston, though (at least from watching the youtube video). Maybe he'll be a steal in the second. I'd use the 1st pick on a stronger player. Roby looks very slight by NBA standards.
Actually, NBAdraft has us picking him.... at #60.

Completely agree, if bill walker is there you have to take him. B/c of Ray's age, it wouldn't hurt to swing for the fences on a wing. B Rush would be great but he wont be there. CDR is another possibility if he is there.
Robin Lopez would also be a great fit if he is there. Wouldn't mind taking a flier on Joey Dorsey either, though I do NOT think he is the next ben wallace as some people think.
The main thing though is I do not want to see us take a Euro. Everyone has lauded the Spurs for taking foreigners but this year we saw how this strategy bites you. While Ginobili was a great pick, and Parker fell into their laps, their constant drafting of Euros and leaving them overseas left them with no young legs in the playoffs. And now it is looking as though several of them (Splitter and Mahinimi) are not coming over for another several years. And very few of these guys turn out to be real players anyway, look back at these drafts. The Manus and Pejas and Dirks are few and far between.
