thanks for posting that.
that's a bummer. the Lakers and Kobe are probably the best possible matchup for TA in these playoffs. TA could actually have had an impact. oh well, we'll have to rely on Posey, Pierce, and Ray.
At least we'll have the Human Victory Cigar in uniform! Rock the Scal baby!!!

Allen is gone anyway. Probably better for the Celtics and certainly better for him. If he can get consistent minuets and touches, he could develop into a good good player.

Tony wasn't going to step on the court unless it was for an end-game celebration. For whatever reason, Doc lost all trust with him in the last 10 games when he was still recovering from injury, and he never had a real shot to prove himself. He got put in for like 5 minutes to try to guard Joe Johnson, struggled offensively (big surprise), and has been nonexistent since.

Best thing for Tony will be to go somewhere he can compete for a 6th man role and try to force his way into a starting spot. Maybe somewhere like Milwaukee where they need a real defensive wing.

Maybe he's not injured that badly and can still make an appearance in the finals. Could Doc just be tyring to throw the Lakers off?

:) Yeah, right. Let's stop fooling ourselves: Tony would have played about 5 MPG at most. And now it's final, Tony has officially played his last game for the Celtics (in Game 4 vs. Detroit). He will not be back with the Celtics. There are many options to find a better player than him for the backup SG role.
