It feels like it is offseason!

Post#1 » by klemen4 » Tue Jun 3, 2008 10:42 pm

This 6 day break before finals make me feel like the season is over, no presure...I really have a good felling about our team. I personaly think we have a better team that the Lakers and our defense will brought nb. 17. It will be a long battle, but I belive we will come out champions.

And so comes offseason...what ever happens in finals I really like the team, but very year we must find some new energy and improvements.

The starting 5 is set for years.

The bench:

PG: HOUSE, PRUITT
House must stay, being energetic, great person, great teamate and streaky shooter one of the best in league. Regardless of the result I think he will resign for veteran minimum.
I like Pruitt a lot, he reminds me of young Penny Hardaway and really belive in his development, he can become the 1,2 shoting guard with great vision and penetration.
Im sure Casell is gone., also dont like his attitude.

SG:T. ALLEN
I think we cant let Allen go. He can play, when his health will return I think in a year he will replace Ray in starting five being defensive stoper, with great first step and penetration. He is a must stay.

SF: POSEY, SCALABRINE
I really hope he stays, his defense is one of the top in NBA, he can change the game, also his three point shooting is ok. We will greatly mis him is he goes.
Scal is the only guy I wont miss if he is gone, but he is hard to trade.

PF: POWE, DAVIS
We have two great young guys here, energetic and with a lot of heart...we justr need one of them to explode in years to come.

C: ?
We have a hole here, I think regardless of the outcome of the finals PJ Brown will retire. he is a great guy but I think he hasnt got the will to play another season. Pollard also will not be resigned, he is a great person, but really cant help us.

So as our team stands:

RONDO/HOUSE/PRUITT
ALLEN/ALLEN
PIERCE/POSEY
GARNET/DAVIS/POWE
PERKINS/

We have 11 great players, we must ad only one center and our 12 man roster is set. Scal and our first round pick on deep bench.
We keep one open spot left to pick a player just before playoffs.

I have one man in my mind which would fit perfectly. Alonzo Mourning is still a great C, great defenders, plays with passion and is still hungry for a ring. Whit that is mind he is my favorite player to take that C spot.

Go celts, at least 4 great seasons are ahead of us.

Yeah, I'd say 3 or 4 seasons before we have to make any big changes. But We can't be sure how the Big 3 are going to hold up as time goes on. I think we can upgrade the front court a lot still. Powe and Davis are good, but I'd like to add some real size and get at least one legit 7 footer on our team.
