celtics WILL win

Post#1 » by TruSkool » Wed Jun 4, 2008 7:13 pm

BOOK IT! the celtics will be the nba champions when all is said and done...and here are the reasons-

1. the lakers are the one of the softest teams in the nba. if gasol is the middle anchor, you know you are in trouble.

2. (dont know if this will actually happen) but ray allen can run marathons around kobe bryant. screens and curls can allow ray to get free. its just a matter of him knocking his shots down, which he will no doubt.

3. pierce will average 28+ points per game. radmanovich simply cant guard him. kobe has even stated before that he has the most trouble guarding pierce in the nba due to his strength and size. ariza may be quick, but too weak.

4.garnett is plain hungry. of all the players on both team, KG is the one who knows his window is limited. he will give it his all, and lamar odom wont be able to do a damn thing. from posting up offensively on pau gasol, to step back fadeaways, to the defensive presence(DOP), KG will be THE MAN for the celts.

5. perkins is the most underrated starter of the 10 starters on both teams. gasol has shown that he has trouble defending stronger players. (see jazz; boozer was putting up 30/15). (see spurs; duncan was putting up 20/20 plus a triple double). perkins will have his will and way against gasol...the only upper hand gasol has will be his 15 foot jumper, and it ends there.

6. rondo has proven to be a sneaky pg, and fisher has proven to pick up quick fouls in opening minutes. fisher may have more experience, but rondo has the quickness and length. playing off screens, pick n rolls, fast breaks, and all other pg responsibilities simply favor rondo. the only thing fisher may have against rondo is defense, and even on that, sagging may be a hazard.

i see the celtics winning in 6 or 7 games.

and this came from a laker fan, sadly.

I like our chances but LA has a lot of good things going for them right now Kobe is playing at an extremely high level. If this Series does go 6-7 it would be very good for the nba but mainly the nba fans.

the hunger of the big 3 to get their first will prevent another Laker title
perk plays huge (rebounding and D) but screws up huge---hell get at least 2-4 travels and 2-4 stupid fouls a game along w/ a couple t's in the series

i wouldnt be so down on perk, but his bad play is almost always at the most costly time----close games
he tries to use his physical attributes too much and press when he should just play strong

if he can play more confident and relaxed, we should get dam near every rebound

Our dirty work guys--- Perk, TA, Powe-- could be real difference makers in this series. I fully expect to see Leon Powe sitting on Gasol's head after a scrum for a rebound. Play this team physical and LA will roll over by game 5. Celtics in 6.

if this is such a big deal why wasn't it mentioned in the other rounds of the playoffs

2. (dont know if this will actually happen) but ray allen can run marathons around kobe bryant. screens and curls can allow ray to get free. its just a matter of him knocking his shots down, which he will no doubt.
what if it doesn't happen, allen hasn't had a good postseason, except for a couple good games, doesn't appear to be a trend

4.garnett is plain hungry. of all the players on both team, KG is the one who knows his window is limited. he will give it his all, and lamar odom wont be able to do a damn thing. from posting up offensively on pau gasol, to step back fadeaways, to the defensive presence(DOP), KG will be THE MAN for the celts.
and kobe isn't hungry?, he lives for championships

5. perkins is the most underrated starter of the 10 starters on both teams. gasol has shown that he has trouble defending stronger players. (see jazz; boozer was putting up 30/15). the lakers still won those series, and perkins isn't the focal point of the offense like duncan and boozer

I've been saying C's in 6 since the matchup was set...no reason to change now.

I just wish they'd freakin' play already!!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Perhaps I have misread some of the Celtic fans, some of you are quite funny, please see my comments imbedded in the quote, in CAPITOLS

iki4life wrote:BOOK IT! the celtics will be the nba champions when all is said and done...and here are the reasons-

1. the lakers are the one of the softest teams in the nba. if gasol is the middle anchor, you know you are in trouble. YES, VERY SOFT, SO SOFT THEY BEAT THE DEFENDING NBA CHAMPIONS IN 5 GAMES AND YET THE HAWKS TOOK THE CELTICS TO SEVEN GAMES...SAY IT WITH ME...S-O-F-T! (LOL PLEASE...)

2. (dont know if this will actually happen) but ray allen can run marathons around kobe bryant. screens and curls can allow ray to get free. its just a matter of him knocking his shots down, which he will no doubt. YES RAY IS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN KOBE AND PLEASE DON'T BRING UP THE 15 PLAYOFF GAMES THAT RAY WAS "OFF"...(LOL PLEASE?
!)

3. pierce will average 28+ points per game. radmanovich simply cant guard him. kobe has even stated before that he has the most trouble guarding pierce in the nba due to his strength and size. ariza may be quick, but too weak. PAUL HAS BEEN AWESOME IN THE PLAYOFFS, VERY STEADY AND CERTAINLY IF RAD-MAN CAN'T STOP OR SLOW HIM DOWN, WOULDN'T YOU THINK THE GREASTEST COACH OF ALL TIME WOULD MAKE SOME ADJUSTMENTS AND TRY OTHER PEOPLE ON HIM, INCLUDING KOBE? (PLEASE..LOL)

HUNGRY? WELL HAVE HIS MAMA MAKE HIM A HUNGY-MAN DINNER, HOPEFULLY KG WILL BE VERY OVERCONFIDENT AND THINK THE SAME WAY (THAT ODOM CAN'T DO ANYTHING), KG COULD NEVER WIN BIG GAMES OR A BIG SERIES, IF THE CELTS LOSE, THEN HAVE A TALK WITH T-WOLVE FAN...

5. perkins is the most underrated starter of the 10 starters on both teams. gasol has shown that he has trouble defending stronger players. (see jazz; boozer was putting up 30/15). (see spurs; duncan was putting up 20/20 plus a triple double). perkins will have his will and way against gasol...the only upper hand gasol has will be his 15 foot jumper, and it ends there. SORRY I HAVE TO START WITH A COUPLE OF LOL'S HERE, LOLOLOLOL, PERKINS AVERAGES 6 POINTS AND 6 REBOUNDS A GAME, YEAH HOW UNDERATED (LOL)! LOOK FOR GASOL TO GET HIM IN FOUL TROUBLE AND LOOK FOR PAU TO AVERAGE AT LEAST 20 PPG!

6. rondo has proven to be a sneaky pg, and fisher has proven to pick up quick fouls in opening minutes. (WRONG!) fisher may have more experience, but rondo has the quickness and length. playing off screens, pick n rolls, fast breaks, and all other pg responsibilities simply favor rondo. the only thing fisher may have against rondo is defense, and even on that, sagging may be a hazard. WRITTEN BY A TRUE CELTIC FAN, CONGRATS! (LOL) BOTH GUYS ARE 6'1" AND AVERAGED THE SAME POINTS, WITH RONDA AVERAGING MORE ASSISTS. FISHER WILL OVERWELM THIS YOUNG GUY!

i see the celtics winning in 6 or 7 games. YOU "SEE" IT OR "THINK" IT?

and this came from a laker fan, sadly. NO LAKER FAN WROTE THIS CRAP, WHY LIE ABOUT IT? (LOL)

So the Lakers are going to lose four games to the Celtics, when they have only lost six games with Gasol in the last four months?

And look up the history of 32 year old SG. Ray Allen is not in a slump he is on the decline.

If you don't believe me look up Reggie Miller in the NBA finals. He only shot 41% trying to guard Kobe. Those are the facts.

Don't get mad at us, because iki4life tells the truth. These are the words of one of the few honest Laker fans.

it wasnt mentioned b/c you guys rolled
denver, okur and undersized milsaps--who actually gave you guys problems on the offensive glass, and duncan/oberto/horry

are nowhere near perk/powe/brown/baby and the reighning defensive player of the year

we can mix and match at every position better than anyone esp up front

bynum should make it more competitive next year if you make it back

Wow, in capitols? Like Boston,MA, Albany,NY, Sacramento,CA, Richmond,VA, and the other 46 cities which are the centers of government in their states? Cool.

(I don't expect any Laker fans to get the joke, not least of all ShowtimeFan)

The more visits from arrogant Laker fans we get, the more I look forward to this series. Crow anyone? It's going to be dinner in LA.

I've got a big ass bar-b-que, we can marinate the crow (skinless of course) in some Lawrys Mesquite flavor, and cook it up perfect, hope it tastes like Chicken and as long as they have white breast meat, it is fine with me.

By the way, having to read your posts is much better than having to listen to that whiney-nasaly Boston accent...

I live in Vermont, so picture more of a stoned, spaced-out tree hugger sort of an accent if stereotypes do it for you. Thanks again for making look me look forward to the finals even more, you're my demographic!
I hear crow on the rotiserrie with a little Sweet Baby Ray's BB-Q sauce is the way to go, let me know when the bird comes home to roost, I'm very curious.

Return to Boston Celtics
