Was it that Kobe played poorly, or the Celtics defended him well?

After some of the comments made by a few of the Lakers, I hope Boston dominates this next game. If both Perkins and Pierce play limited minutes compared to normal, I hope Eddie House and Leon Powe get a lot of playing minutes. Both are capable of big scoring nights, so that would make up for Pierce if he can't get much offensive rhythm.

To much time off between games. It is hard to get emotional. To much prep time.

Implying that the only way pierce could come out and help the team like that that was if he was taking coke :nonono: I bet if it was Kobe he wouldnt of thought that.

I am once again floored by the intelligence here. He said, and I paraphrase "It's more likely that PP went back there to snort coke than it is that he faked an injury", meaning that it was highly unlikely close to impossible. Reading. Comprehension. Please.

And I'll just quote rather then paraphrase

"I honestly think that it is more likely that Pierce just wanted to sniff a line in the locker room, rather than fake an injury to become a "hero."

Did that thought cross anyone elses mind? He did nail 2 threes right after...."

I can see that your in a jolly mood! Thanks for pointing out that i mis-read that message but there was no need to take a stab at my intelligence i just made a blunder! It happens to everyone at some point in time.

Edit: I rant too much. Lets just hope for a celtics win!

Any word on Perk's status yet?

From the Globe Celtics blog.

Just when we thought he'd never show, Kendrick Perkins just strolled onto the court to warm up. He's wearing two pairs of high socks on each foot, so it's hard to see what kind of support he has on his sprained left ankle.

Perkins is shooting short jumpers. He's not getting particularly high off the floor, but does he ever? He's not walking with any kind of limp.

Still no official word on whether Perkins will play. We'll pass that info along when we get it.

UPDATE (7:15 p.m.): Perkins hasn't done anything to test his ankle since he's been out there. He hasn't made any side-to-side motions, and he didn't work on post moves. Perkins did throw down one dunk, but it didn't have his usual emphasis.

Another update from boston.com:

Perkins says he's playing

Kendrick Perkins just said he's going to attempt to play in tonight's Game 2 against the Lakers.

C's need to come out hard and fast and take the play to the Lakers...no mercy.

eatyourchildren, A number of years ago I spent some time in Irian Jaya and spoke to some friendly-enough folks who probably were cannibals. Your username made me remember that. You're not really a cannibal too are you?

The other thing about Irian (Papua New Guinea) is it was very VERY hot.

Anyone else just catch Al Jefferson on the Celtics Pregame on FSN? What a class act, he's at the game. Dickerson asked something like is it hard seeing this team in the Finals, Al shakes his head "No, I wanna see them in the Finals" something along those lines. Says he doesn't miss Celtic games.
