two thoughts here:
first what do you think they shot pierce up with when he went back to the locker room? if you said nothing i don't believe you...
second why hasn't anyone aknowledged this? phil jackson and most of the west coast thing paul is either faking or having visits from the almighty...
my guess is they shot him up with some cortizone, that's prettymuch SOP for sports injuries these days. i mean what other painkillers would they use???
regardless, i think this is something that we'll find out more about after the series, probly along with pierce's mri results when he gets one...

Did you even read the link you posted Lucerne? Cortisone injections don't work the way you all think they do. You don't take over a 1:45 and run out and play. It generally hurts like hell and takes few days to work.
There was a radio report that he was set up to take a cortisone injection sometime during the layoff. He apparently went into the training room saw the needle and turn around and left.
Why can't we just accept that the training staff overreacted to the situation? Better that than the alternative. Like Pierce has said himself he should have just stayed on the floor for 5 mins until the pain calmed down and nobody would be making such a big deal about it.
