Would Atlanta have given LA trouble in a playoff series?
They gave us a lot of trouble with their physical bigs, and it looks like Boston is doing that to LA right now. ATL took Boston to 7 games, what do you think they would have done hypothetically if they played the Lake Show in a playoff series?

tough call, but they did split the season series with them.
In thier win (at home, by 3points)
Gasol shot .357
Kobe shot .250
Horford had 20 boards
Joe Johnson had 28pts on 20 shots
Josh smith shot .636
I'm sure a lot of those stats are familiar from some of the hawks games by the c's

I really feel Atlanta would have given anyone fits. They are young, athletic and play with a lot of energy, but most of all, they had nothing to lose. Not saying they would have taken anyone to 7 games, because I feel a lot of that had to do with the Cs finding their playoff identity, but who knows. I'm sure the so called "experts" wouldn't agree, but Atlanta has some pretty good players.

No. The Hawks would have been swept. The Lakers comeback in the 4th quarter is reminiscint of our struggles against Atlanta and a repeat of our road woes may continue. The Lakers are young and we are old but less so than the Spurs. 4th quarters in LA could get interesting like they did in Atlanta.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I don't think so.
To start it off we played with Ray "I Suck" Allen in that series. They would of had Kobe, who would of loved to guard his the poor version of himself in Joe Johnson.
Fisher is playing too tightly on Rondo not recognizing just how putrid of an offensive player Rondo is but instead giving Rondo a chance to actually use his speed and drive. On Biby, this would just ensure much sucking from him.
Farmar instead of Sam "me shoot" Cassell
ATL doesn't have a SF to expose LA most importantly.
LA would probuly win in 5.

Ray was decent for the first 5 games and three quarters offensively (although he struggled covering Joe Johnson). He then missed some looks in the closing minutes of game 6, had a bad game 7 (although it was a total rout), and the slump was on.

It would be a tough series for the most part because we've struggled in Atlanta for a couple of years now. Our biggest problems would be Horford and Johnson.

But I don't think that the Lakers would struggle with their length and athleticism they way we did.

Lakers were 27-14 on the road this season, 2nd best in the NBA
In the playoffs, the Lakers won 2 games in Denver (33-8 at home), 1 game in Utah (37-4 at home) and 1 game in San Antonio (34-7 at home)
Lakers suck on the road?

They would've probably taken a game at their place. Not much more than that.
We lost to them on a back to back the night after Kobe suffered his injury and played like complete trash... couldn't hit the basket to save his life, turned the ball over on critical possessions. Gasol was playing his 2nd game. And we were leading by 10 points for most of the game, only to totally collapse at the end. I think Fish was shooting the game tying 3 and it didn't fall.
2 weeks later, we blew them out of the building with half the effort. Led by 40 after the halftime, won by 30.
Just my humble opinion. The Bobcats would probably take us to 6 or 7 games on the other hand. We just can win two in a row against that team since forever.
cheers
