Hatred of the franchise or for that franchise's fans? I ask, can you dislike the fans of a team and still have respect for that franchise? Or is it inevitable to "hate" a franchise and their fans all the same.
Because I wonder would a rivalry exist if not for the fans. Today, a lot of these players are off the court friends and share the same agents, so that level of intensity on the court isn't as high as it could be.
For me, I feel that it's the other team's fans that fuel one's hatred for their team. You've arrogant fans that put the carriage before the horse or count their eggs before they've hatched. You've boastful and irksome fans that are no more better than anyone else's opinion. There's loyalty and then there's blind loyalty.
Maybe a lot of these players simply have unlikable personalities that contribute to your disdain for that player and team.
Why do fans run their mouths? Seriously, do these fans suit up and step out onto the court. So, then why do certain fans believe they know what's going to happen before it happens? Odd. Wouldn't it make more sense to shut your mouths, listen and watch these games like everyone else. Then if you're wrong, you won't have to explain yourself. Because you never said anything to begin with. I mean too much confidence can only lead to great disappointment if you aren't careful.
I think opposing fans need to toot their own horns to others to make themselves feel better. Why else visit "enemy territory" to evoke arguments? You weren't invited nor are you welcome. I just don't get it. If you must talk loud. Fine. But, do you need to talk loudly to those who are indifferent to what you've to say outside of your fan base.
I'm not speaking directly at any fan base in particular. I'm just speaking in general. Because I can be objective and call out the home fans just as easily as the national fan. It's all relative to me.
