Let's Stop with The "Beat L.A. " Stuff

Hear me out first. What's up with the Beat L.A. stuff? I don't know about you guys, but when it comes to basketball, I'm superstitious. But it's more that superstition.
The "Beat L.A." sayings focuses more on beating L.A., instead of focusing on winning a championship. Was anyone chanting Beat Atlanta, Beat Cleveland, or Beat Detroit? Did anyone have a sig saying that?
Another reason why we should stop with all the Beat LA. stuff is because they aren't that successful. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we faced the Lakers 3 times in the 80's when this phrase became popular. We played them in 84,85, and 87. How did that turn out for us? We won once and lost twice to them. That's a 33.3% winning rate.
The 3rd reason why we should stop with all the Beat L.A. stuff is that any time you use a word, either postive or negative, it gives power to that word. Ask any great thinkers, scientists, and philosophers, they will tell you the same thing.
Maybe instead of having a Beat L.A. sigs, you can use a picture of a NBA championship title or something else that doesn't have the word L.A. in it.

If the NBA didn't license the shirts and have adidas make them it would be a lot easier to do.

You could refuse to buy it. As a Celtic fan, why would you want a shirt that has the word L.A. on it? Some what if is has the word Beat in front of it. It still have L.A. on the shirt.

And no, we'll continue the Beat LA chants that have been going on for a long time... are you the same person who wants Yankees Suck chants abolished from peoples mouths too? Mind you I hate baseball altogether, but I'm just saying. What kind of girly rivalry would you want then?

Wow are you telling me those tees have the NBA logo inside along with the Adidas tag too.
That's amazing didn't know that. Always thought those were just some tees made by a vendor off the street.
Wow.

I don't want a rivalry with the Lakers. I want championships.
In 1980 and 1986, we faced the Rockets. Where there any Beat Houston chants? No. We went 2-0.
All I'm saying is use other chants like Let's go Celtics and Defense. Using any word, be it postive or negative gives the that word power. Is there a philosophers that can back me on that?

I'm not saying this one is garbage, but it only helps the Lakers.
Just use any chant that doesn't have the opponents name in it.
Any time you use a word, either postive or negative, it gives power to that word. Ask any great thinkers, scientists, and philosophers, they will tell you the same thing. Or do a quick research.
