Congrats from a Cleveland fan

Post#1 » by DowJones » Fri Jun 13, 2008 6:59 am

I have really been pulling for you guys since our game 7. I can't stand Detroit and I don't like the Lakers, so I really wanted to see you guys pull it out. I am also a big Ray Allen fan and I think it would be great to see him get a title. He deserves it. It isn't over, but obviously it looks good. I am impressed with the Boston crowd so much that I think it is a forgone conclusion......but you never know. It is still sort of bitter for me. I keep replaying that LeBron James 3-pointer late in the 4th quarter that would have given us a 2 point lead. I swear when it left his hands I thought it was going down.

But it doesn't matter now. Congrats on the HUGE game 4 win and good luck in game 5.

If we do win the title it is interesting as the Cavs gave us the biggest challenge. Not only would I say that it means the Cavs are not as far off as people think but that the Celtics truly benefited from going through that type of adversity.

Thanks DowJones, and once again I've got to say LeBron is the best player in the world, not Kobe. Kobe is a better shooter and ballhandler, that is it. LeBron even played better D in my opinion. LeBron is better going to the rim, better at rebounding, a better or equal passer, a better one-on-one defender (Kobe is a better team defender), a 1000X better leader, and just a better person. I would have been rooting for Cleveland if it wasn't us.

Cavs are a force to be reckoned with. That was the series I was worried most about in the playoffs...I was pulling for Washington to win so the Cs didn't have to face LeBron!

At the start of the playoffs I said that the 2nd round was going to be the most difficult, and so far I've been right. Both the Cavs and Washington are exactly the type of teams that can give us trouble. The Cavs because of their defense and LBJ, and the Wizards because of their athleticism and Antawn Jamison, who seems to always go to town against KG.

I would have been pulling for Cleveland if they beat us too. I wanted them to win it all last year against the *yawn* *yawn* *YAWN* Spurs (03, 05, 07 were the most boring titles ever won).
