Has he had one nice thing to say about the Celtics since his son in law quit?
Ramsay had problems with the C’s long before Jim O’Brien
1967-1968
Dr. Jack was the GM of the 76ers in 1968 when the Celtics came back from being down 3-1 and Wilt went catatonic in the second half of game 7 against the Celtics and took just 2 shots.
1968-1969
The next year Wilt feuded with management and was traded to the Lakers. Alex Hannum, the man who had finally tamed wilt’s ego, also left and Ramsay coached Philly in 68-69.
Finishing second to the Baltimore Bullets, the 76ers were matched against the old, decrepit Celtics who had finished 4th.
Dr. Jack had the pleasure of going down 1-4.
1969-1970
With the Celtic dynasty gone and the immortal Hank Finkle and Jim Barnes playing center Dr. Jack wins a season series against the Celtics 4-2
1970-1971
Dave Cowens is a rookie and Dr. Jack loses the season series to the Green 2-4. He will not win another game against Boston for over 2 years, losing 18 straight games to the Celtics in the process.
1971-1972
Dr. Jack goes 0-6 against the Celtics
1972-1973
Dr. Jack goes 0-7 against the Celtics
1973-1974
Dr. Jack goes 2-5 against the Celtics and are eliminated from the playoffs by the eventual Champion Celtics in 6 games.
1974-1975
The Braves are a good team now and finished 2nd in the east, but the Celtics are still better. Dr. Jack goes 4-5 against the Celtics.
1975-1976
This is another good Buffalo team that falls short of the Celtics. Dr. Jack goes 3-4 against the Celtics and are eliminated from the playoffs by the eventual Champion Celtics in 6 games.
1976-1977 to 1985-1986
Dr Jack is in Portland and manages to break even at 13- 13.
1986-1987 and 1987-1988
Dr Jack is in Indy and goes 1-10 against the Green
