Perkins is not able to go. He's out. No word on who starts yet.

Def not good but we should be able to see more of Powe and a little Big Baby tonight, lets hope they step up and win us a championship

As long as no one gets into foul trouble we should be able to put Powe on Odom and KG on Gasol. Powe in the starters could be a great thing. We need to establish a lead/position early. Powe is the type of energy player who can help do that. I love Perkins but I think we can win this one without him.

The blog on boston.com says Leon gets the nod.

Leon is a good choice. The big fear has to be a major energy difference vs. the Lakers to open the game, and Leon is an antidote to that.

Later on, we'll find out how the Lakers do against small ball now that they've finally thought to prepare for it.

And we're apt to see Tony Allen spelling Ray, since Doc sure doesn't want to use any of Posey's minutes at the 2.

I think technically Pierce has been backing up Ray at the 2. Although Ray played 48 minutes last game, so in that game I guess nobody was backing him up. :)

Fair enough, but I don't think Doc is going to play Pierce/Davis or Pierce/Garnett at the 2/3 in either order. (Besides, you may not even be technically right, as Posey has spent a lot of time covering Kobe just as Pierce has.)

So if Posey is unavailable to play the 2-or-3 due to extended minutes at the 4, then either Ray and Pierce have to play long minutes, or else they have to be made up from Tony Allen and the backup combo guards.

This hurts, but there's a good chance Perkins gets into foul trouble and won't play much anyway. :tooth
