Jason Whitlock Praises Pierce, Blasts KG, PART II

Post#1 » by Big Baby » Mon Jun 16, 2008 12:47 pm

This series is a one-man show. Paul Pierce is a force of nature. He scored 38 points Sunday night and handed out eight assists. He can’t be stopped in pick-and-roll situations. Kobe can slow him, but defending Pierce is taking a toll on Kobe’s offense. After a 15-point first quarter, Bryant scored just 10 more and hit only two of 12 shots, including the dunk he got after hacking Pierce.

David Stern should step in, call this series a technical knockout and give the Larry O’Brien Trophy to Pierce.

Pierce was great and KG choked again. Nothing new to me. Good article. KG and the refs combined to give the Lakers a present.

Pierce, after last night, will be the FInals MVP when the Celtics close this **** out. Ray Allen was giving him a run for his money, but Paul was a one-man wrecking crew last night and I expect him to be tomorrow, too.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

People forget quickly. Kgs been awesome this postseason and this series he hasnt hit shots he always makes, it happens, happened to Allen for an entire series(plus CLE's sound strategy in trapping him) and Pierce in at least 3 games this postseason. KG will go full force in game 6. How quickly many forget his clutch buckets in the CLE and DET series and FT's as well.

PS, again, these boards **** suck ****

Hating on Garnett is the fad at the moment. Once Garnett puts up a great game to close out the series it will all be forgotten. You can't choke AND win.
My Starting 5:

PG: Allen Iverson
SG: Paul Pierce
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Patrick Ewing

When your alleged "Best Player" and "MVP" shows up for only one or two games per series, people are gonna get on his ass. Garnett is showing us now why he could never get out of the first round in Minneapolis. Out of our Big 3, he's been the smallest part of our success this postseason. Hell, he hasn't even been one of our top 5 players on some of these nights. Some people find that unacceptable and I'm one of them.

You say he's going to have a monster game 6? Well, it's about damn time!

He shows up on every game. Check his rebounding and defense. He missed some shots in the Finals and been hesitant to go to the block, but saying that "he didn't show up" is an outright lie.

You either have a bad memory or new to this sport. KG went to WCF in 2003/04, winning MVP along the way.
Out of our Big 3, he's been the smallest part of our success this postseason.

Again a lie. Check out the stats, KG is our leading scorer and rebounder in playoffs. He's third in assists, second in steals, second in FG%, second in blocks and second in minutes played. Oh and he also has highest PER and +/- ratings. Basically saying KG is a centerpiece of this team's success in playoffs.
Hell, he hasn't even been one of our top 5 players on some of these nights.

You aren't checking out those victory sigar threads, do you? KG is almost always one of the options there.
Some people find that unacceptable and I'm one of them.

Well, some people are ignorant, and you're one of them.

Hey man I agree...I was one of the few on here during the earlier rounds who said KG was the ONLY ONE bringing it on a nightly basis and carrying the C's. Now that Ray is out of his slump and KG is one, everyone loves Ray (who they all wanted to bench in the Cleveland series) and hates KG.

Too many fake hater C's fans on here. You don't have to blinded in adoration for the guys, it's OK to be critical, but to jump on and off bandwagons at the drop of a hat...don't break any legs, guys!
