Hmmmm
sitting here guess I didn't make bail
got time and a story to tell
it started when I was nine years old
woke up my daddy was gone
To Reggie Lewis. What can I say, like a number of C’s fans on this board that grew up in a different generation and were too young to appreciate the Big Three, Reggie Lewis was my first Favorite Player, Hero, and was basically my Michael Jordan. His death was actually the first real cry of my life, it wasn’t suppose to happen, and it changed how I felt about the team; my first death was attached to Boston, as such, the C’s transcended sports and all I could do is keep waiting for some success for Reggie to smile upon.
Remember Reggie.

I started hustlin they couldn't tell me nothing, frontin in the hood trying to be somebody,my soul was on empty I was searching for somethig, trying to be good, trying to keep from trouble, living to fast, trying to make good for my hustle
To Antoine Walker, the next true Celtic that came into my life. He was the first player that made me feel old (beyond the initial weirdness when draft prospects started to be a few years younger than me)… He could dunk, he could play center, and he played PG in stretches for a horrible Celtics team. Despite the record, I always knew things we’re going to be alright. Walker shared the unbridled passion of Celtic Legends. Unfortunately, as his weight started to slip and his Walker ~W~I~G~G~L~E~S~ seemed to increase with his 3pt attempts, I would guess Walker catalyzed more forum posts than any other Celtic to date. I’m glad he won the championship, I’m glad he was pining for a release to try and be a 12 man on this current team (wouldn’t have worked) and retire a Celtic like his true buddy, but most of all I was happy to seem him sitting in Boston supporting what I assume he will always consider his team.
sometimes it gets rough (coming from where I'm from I'm from)times get hard yeah (coming from where I'm from I'm from) Sometimes you gotta walk to work yeah (coming from where I'm from I'm from) sometimes you gotta do a little dirt (coming from where I'm from I'm from)

To Terquin Mott & the Summer Leagues. I was fortunate enough to attend a few games over 3 summers, and bar none my favorite player was always Mott. He was KG w/o the talent. Intense, motivating, and always energizing teammates and the crowd alike. Also props to the ESPN C’s board who regularly traded game tapes across the country several times. I think a majority of my favorite posters aren’t around as much because, what can you say? This is realgm, we like to play the role of realgm, analyze, and fix our teams. Not much we can do for Ainge’s current product, but summer league and draft time will always be my favorite time for these forums.
wasn't really looking guess I found it 5 foot 3 light brown skin, coming from the university nice style looking kinda upbeat, even though she had much game, down to ride down ,even take the train, even took her to a poker game top notch fried chicken and sushi
tried to be good, tried to treat you like a lady, tried to be your friend, turned out that you were shady,
Who else but our leader, captain, gift from the basketball gods, and best player, Paul Pierce. We all know his story of vengeance on the league for letting him slip, his warrior mentality of never getting down after stabbings, lost teeth, and the most frightful moment of his life on the biggest stage (& I honestly think that for PP the pop he heard was more damning & desolate than the moment of the stabbing. He was meant for basketball and for that stage, nothing could be worse than losing it all back home after how his career had been playing out).
Sometimes I get lonely (coming from where I'm from I'm from)times ain't what they seemed to be (coming from where I'm from I'm from)sometimes we get a little angry yeah (coming from where I'm from I'm from)sometimes you get the best of me (coming from where I'm from I'm from)

To the 2002 ECF team. A team that was seemingly devoid of hope, mired in poor contracts, and yet succeeded because a team of veterans (capped by a healthy Tony Battie who was never appreciated for what he was bringing to the table at the time) chose to devote themselves to a defensive scheme and the three ball. This team had nowhere near the talent of an ECF team let alone a championship contender, but they imposed their collective will like no other, forced teams to play their style, and by god, on any given night I felt like they could mop the floor with any team… The odds were never in our favor that we’d catch lightening in a bottle 4 of 7 nights vs a western conference team, but the easiest way to describe my feelings for that team: “I LOVE WALTAH!”
Well I tried to be good (I tried)
wanted nothing but to love somebody
didn't want to die young, started hustlin trying to feed my family, too scared to have kids can't do like daddy did, cause I'm so scared of failing
sometimes I get lost, coming from where I'm from
To Danny Ainge who had a plan all along and never strayed while critics mounted and it looked like the pressure was rising. His entire time here has been about collecting assets, buying low, and selling high. We could have set a record for possessing the greatest number of intriguing “what-if” guys last year, but the record and losing streak couldn’t be ignored. I don’t want to imagine what could have been had DA been fired only to have a new GM wipe his hands of this roster and just give away Bassy, Delonte, and the other young guys that ultimately played a tremendously underrated role in this quest for banner 17. The stars were aligned, other GMs saw some value, and DA amassed this team, a team of brothers, warriors, and eventual returners of Celtic Prestige.
coming from where I'm from I'm from
sometimes you gotta moan (coming from where I'm from I'm from) sometimes you gotta cry a little bit louder (coming from where I'm from I'm from) sometimes you gotta fight the pain (coming from where I'm from I'm from) sometimes you gotta walk alone (coming form where I'm from I'm from)

To the true C's fans who always looked towards tomorrow & always had 3 plans and counter plans on how to get to this moment. Cause we got what no other team has, that Boston Celtic Pride.
