Props to Perk

Post#1 » by GreenMachine » Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:42 am

Props to Perk for being a man and playing tonight. He set the tone in the first 5 minutes and had a real impact.

It would have sucked to see them win and jumping around celebrating with Perk in street clothes.

He has been a man and done what was needed of him all year long. He is no longer a question mark. Hard work and hart = Being a Celtic = Perk

Exactly, he and PJ took Gasoft completely out of the game! Our defense is not the same without him in the lineup as witnessed in game 5.

Lets go for two in a row!!!

I agree. Perkins was huge for us. He didn't play much because of foul trouble, but he impacted the game with his toughness, defense on Gasol, and his rebounding.

Perk has been one of my favorites since coming into the league. I think we are coming up on his ceiling. A 6/6 or 6/8 guy who can dominate at times on the defense end. I will take that each and every day at the center position in the NBA. Glad we kept him.

I can't say enough good things about Perk this year. He was just really impressive all year long incluidng a couple of monster games in the playoffs. I'm really proud of how far he's come.

PJ was also a key part in this championship run. I really hope Danny is able to convince him to come back for one more year so we can win #18.

PJ is most likely done (I know I would be if I were him) but you're right. I'd take him if he decided to stay.
