Its funny the amount of pressure this team got this year felt like they were the defending champs. Looking at the teams in the eastern conference, there is no one else that can compete with us. To be honest, after going through this season, this team can repeat.

THE ROAD TO 18
(damn i've wanted to write that for a while)

scary teams are:
cleve, if they get ANY kind of help for lebron
lakers, with bynum back
spurs, they'll be looking for one last run w/duncan

detroit is fading.
orlando doesn't scare me.
NO is a good team out west but not experienced enough.

Cleveland is scary. As I said before Lebron is the ONLY guy in the NBA who seems to physically overmatch PP. That's a real problem if Ray Allen is playing like Ira Newble. Hopefully that won't happen again next year..

The Lakers OTOH have some real matchup problems with the Cs' they need to fix... They should likely move Odom and find a way to dump Sasha, Luke Walton, Vlad Rad and Turiaf who are among the worst rotation players in the league.

The C's trouble might be with the replacement of Posey and Brown. We need to get some length that can play on this team assuming those guys leave or in the case of Brown retires. Also backup PG is a real issue..still. Sam Cassell is not the answer.

Can they repeat, yes, but this took a lot out of them you can see the great effort they gave and won it, but it almost went down to the last game. If they have the same fire, same desire, but they are gonna have to at least give the same effort to repeat, they all looked exausted mentally, not physically, to put out that kind of effort especially after a short turnaround, very impressive, it didn't help that my flippin' Lakers quit either WTF was that garbage Lakers?. Yeah the Celtics D was tough, but where is the fn' effort, yeah you too Kobe. Congrats to the Celtics, well deserved. I definitly undestimated their defense as did the Lakers.

I remember George Karl used to lecture Ray over and over about defense, and Ray turned to deaf ears, Karl gave up trying, now he's got the same problem with Melo. Took Ray this long to finally play some. Rondo was the POG game 6, wow!
