If PJ doesn't come back will Ainge resign Scot Pollard? I think it might be a good idea he can be signed for the minium again and he has had the surgery he needed after getting lots of ankle injuries this should correct the problem. I don't see anyone else out there on the cheap as good as pollard if he is healthy. He knows the offense and defensive schemes he played well when he did play and for the minium he is better than what is out there.

If nothing else is out there for the veteran minimum then I don't see why not.

No, no, no, Scott P. is a wasted roster spot. Draft a big or go after a f/a big, but say no to Scott.

Dude sprained his ankle on something like the first day of camp and couldn't recover in a full season. I think that's all you need to know.

Uhh.... he's a good locker room guy, and a funny interview.

If we have a 15th roster spot open, I'd have no problem signing him to a non-guaranteed deal, with the understanding if someone comes along who can help the team he'd be cut.

I think people are writing Pollard off too soon. Most games, our big man rotation will probably be KG/Perk/Powe/Baby, but in certain games...like against Dwight Howard...we need another 7 footer on the roster. We will probably only have the minimum available to get that 7 footer figuring that we'll use the MLE on Posey. Our first choice will be PJ, but it looks like he'll retire. Next, we'll probably go after Kurt Thomas and Kwame Brown with the minimum, but I don't see Thomas leaving the Spurs for the minimum and Brown will probably get more then the minimum offer from somebody. Besides that, there's no other player who's clearly better then Pollard(if we determine that he's healthy) that we can get for the minimum.

Pollard is like never nervous Pervis - but without the talent. We don't need him adding to the cap and waisting a roster spot. If he is such a wonderful locker room guy we can give him an assistant coaching job. I don't think they count against the cap..

As fragile as Perk is I'd like to see another legitimate center on the roster.

If that's Pollard, so be it.

^^^ Why? Becaue it looks good on the team roster?! We won a championship with that guy on the injured list. So clearly we don't need him. I dont' understand the urge to allow a team you root for to just give money away..
