Last night at the Celtics draft party I had a chance to talk to Jo Jo White for a couple mins. I asked about a few players for next year and Jo Jo gave me his thoughts, Ive talked to Jo Jo before and he is really a nice guy who enjoys talking to the fans. Take it for what its worth

I asked if Pruitt could be our backup, Jo Jo said he likes Pruitt getting some minutes next year but this team needs a veteran PG.

I then asked if he thinks Sam Cassell would be back and he said if anything not as a player, I wanted to laugh but held it in lololol. Jo Jo then said the player he would like back is PJ Brown but thinks he will retire, we both talked how PJ was a major contributor to banner #17.

I then asked Jo Jo if he thinks Posey will resign and he said yes and looked real confident in saying it. He said he knows because hes already talked to Posey about it and he said Posey is in the perfect situation with this team, as long as we dont offer anything embarressing Posey will be back :D

On a side note I asked Max if Sam Cassell still has the ball from game 6 and he said Sam does still have it and he checks ebay everyday for it lololololol. He told me the story about how Sam got the ball and he was hilarious lol. Also Greg Dickerson is hilarious in public which suprised me, I never really liked him before but he was pretty funny last night.

Awesome Posey news, we really really need him back.

What's the Sam story on how he got the ball?

Max said right after the game when Big Baby threw it up in the air he watched it the whole way and was able to catch it, then Cassell came running over and saying GIVE ME THE BALL! GIVE ME THE BALL! and because Max had to do interviews right away he gave it to him. He said if he couldve done it all over again he wouldve never let go of the ball lol. I think Sammy just took the ball as a way of getting back on the Cs, I could see him take me back or the ball dies lol.

That's true. I used to think he was a tool when I saw him on tv, but he's always been wicked nice when I've seen him out and about. The guy obviously loves the Celtics. And hey, at least he's not Tanguay or Felger

you're pretty good at asking interesting questions, unlike a lot of these ballwashing reporters.

Thanks, Jo Jo and Max are easy to talk to because they seem to have a lot of respect for the fans and enjoy a conversation. On a side not Shaugnessy (however you spell it) was there and was eating constantly, whenever we saw him he had some type of food in his hand lol.

I met Jo Jo in the bathroom last year at a game. I asked what is going on with this team. Jojo said," I have no idea. Danny won't let you in on anything. He is so secretive and controlling." I thought that was fascinating.

The two things we're hearing about Jo-Jo go together:

* He says what he really thinks
* Management doesn't tell him what it really thinks

:)

Seems fair to me.

it's nice to be able to approach a person like him. Make the organization look better anyways.

Thanks for the information. Good to hear that Posey will be back, and Cassell won't.

I recall last year someone posted that Jo Jo said we were going after Al Harrington, so Danny must not share the real info.

Speaking of the game 6 ball...if you watch the replay closely, you'll see Danny Ainge giving a half hearted attempt to get to the ball...but the ball was too far for him to actually make a good run at it- so he gave up.
