I know it's too early to draw comparisons. Still, does Beasley and Walker remind anyone of Jamison and V. Carter when they were the big name tandem at North Carolina. Also, as was the case with those two, does anyone think that Walker could end up becoming the better player of the two between he and Beasley in five or six years. Because V. Carter was the high profile and highlight reel waiting to happen player and Jamison was a good player, but not on his star level. Now who's the better player? Antawn Jamison.

I understand that Jamison and V. Carter went fourth and fifth in 1998, respectively. While Beasley was the second overall pick and Walker wasn't even selected in the first round. I don't know, I guess I'm the only one thinking this. I know it was said that Riley wasn't really high on Beasley. I mean he was listed initially in school at 610'' or 6'9'' and actually measured out at 6'6'' or 6'7''. And he's suppose to project as a power forward.

Okay, do you believe Walker can be as good as Beasley in time then?

Beasley has a chance to be as good as Jameson, maybe better. They are different type of players, Jameson has a lot more range.

There is no way Walker will ever be as good as Carter at his peak or even now.

Remember debating Raptor fans over who was better, Pierce or Carter? Doesn't that seem hilarious right about now?

I remember somewhat the last year Jamison and V. Carter were Tar Heels. I thought Jamison was the star since he won enough individual awards in the ACC and in the nation to assume that he'll be a NBA star. While V. Carter was Mister Dynamite. He was Dominique Wilkins with way more athleticism. But, what created this Vincesanity phenomenon as a rookie would be the same thing that would bring him back to Earth. That would draw criticism. Think early Jason Williams versus later Jason Williams. It's the same thing.

As a Celtics fan, the hope is Walker is Jamsion and not V. Carter. Another player I'd read Walker compared to is Gerald Wallace. Not bad, I would take that. I just hope that Walker's game isn't contingent on his athleticism. Because you can lose that in a hurry. Injuries will do that to you. Ask Anfernee Hardaway how he wasn't the same player. Ask Jamal Mashburn too. So many of them.

I think I'd heard right that Walker had an ACL injury in his right leg and then reinjured this same leg working out for a NBA team. That sounds ominous to me. I hope not.
