Summer League - Questions

Post#1 » by C-West » Sun Jun 29, 2008 4:21 am

Is it true that the Celtics are not fielding a Summer League team this season? If so, that's really too bad, and I don't understand why. Pruitt/Giddens/Walker (if healthy)/Davis could certainly use some burn together.

If this is true, I know that players can and do hook up in the variuos Summer Leagues with other select or sponsored teams. I've seen this quite a bit especially in the LA Summer League in the past. Does anyone know if any of our guys will be playing with some other Summer Leauge team??

Be thankful. That means we don't suck, we have better things to do with our young kids than have them dominate against scrubs.

Oh, believe me I'm thankful. VERY thankful for the success.

However, even the Spurs always field a Summer League team, and it's worked out for them with a "find" there an there along the way. Didn't Stephen Jackson get on their roster with a solid SL performance?

Anyway, this is honestly more of a selfish thing. I like watching the SL. It gives me that nice mid-Summer hoops fix. I guess I'll have to watch the Olympics instead. :)
