Financial benefits to being a champion

Does anyone know how much extra cash the Celtic's players received from the playoffs. With 26 extra games, they should have made a couple million each. There will also be endorsement opportunities to some of these guys who are now household names and faces.
So when the C's offer a MLE, its not the same as someone like GS offering it. This may have a huge advantage to getting CM and Posey.
Posey with a 5-yr non-bird exemption for about 22.5 mil plus the playoffs (very comparable to a 3-yr full MLE of 18mil).
Corey for the full MLE plus playoffs.

Well they would have only made money off of the home games directly...still, that's 14 extra home dates to make some cash. I'd think they made out OK!

20,000 seats at about $200 per seat is $4 million a game. That's about $56 million.
They may not have had 20,000 seats and $200 gross income per seat may be a bit high. But I think all the various interested third parties had to cough up some cash to the Celtics along the way.

We don't want to give Posey 5 million, as a pro GM told a group of us in law school, The biggest mistake people make is not with the amounts they give players but for the number of years. We don't want posey's contract extending past Ray allen's. Posey is strictly a role player, lets not forget that, once part of the big 3 are gone his value will be greatly diminished
