The Warriors have contacted Corey Maggette and have epressed interest.

IMO, if Elton Brand resigns with the Clippers, than G.S would be in a good postion to offer Maggette a way more than the Mid Level. It would have been great to get Maggette, but all along I've been saying that he is too good of a player to get Mid Level money. It would take a near miracle to get Corey Maggette now.

I don't understand what Golden State is doing. You haven't resigned your best player, Monta Ellis. Ellis becomes your best player with the departure of Baron Davis. Ellis could be their Gilbert Arenas. I don't get how you can possibly sign Magette before you've secured deals with both Ellis and Biedrins first.

Okay, let's say the Warriors sign both Maggette and retain Ellis to substantial deals. Do the Warriors really want to have one of the highest paid back courts in the league, again? Before, they'd Davis and Jason Richardson and how far did those two take them in the playoffs?

In my opinion, I still say Magette signs with San Antonio. However, if it's about the money. Then I can see him signing with Golden State or Philadelphia if they don't resign Iguodala.

That's either a smoke screen or a really bad move by GS. If they go after any free agent, they should go after Childress.

They will sign Maggette only if they let go one of Biedrins or Monta, because both are getting near-max contracts.

A miracle? All it would take is the Warriors not offering him a contract and then it's pretty much 50-50 whether he'll sign with the Spurs or Celtics.

But But but.. they're under 25 years of age! Instant makes them much better then everyone over that age lol.

IMO bied could be looking at 8/9 mil a year and Ellis around 12 a year. But the market is quickly drying up of team with the ability to offer contracts to these players. GS could get them on the cheap since everyone knowes they'll just match.
