OT:Coming to Boston

I know this is way off topic but I figured I'd give it a shot and if it gets locked so be it. My wife and are driving down to Boston from Toronto for a week at the end of August. I've been told that it is smarter to park you car at one of the t stations on the outskirts of the city that has overnight parking and then take public tranist in as opposed to paying crazy sums of money for overnight parking in the city. I found a station that isn't too far off my route into the city Woodland and was wondering if you thought it would be a safe garage to leave it at.

I'd also appreciate any tips/recommendations on things to do/eat etc. while we're there.

Thanks!

I've never heard of Woodland station... Is that the blue line?

One thing you must do is go to the Basketball HOF in Springfield

Also Fanuiel Hall is also a nice spot to eat and shop

Hit up the North End, near the Garden, for great Italian food, Newbury Street near the Common if you want to do some shopping, the Public Gardens are really pretty to walk through, and even though it's touristy, you can walk along the Freedom Trail to hit a lot of really cool parts of town.

Woodland is a very good station it is very safe. It isn't in the middle of a town. If you never been there though you'll drive in and there these brand new luxury apartments on your left and the track is on the right drive all the way to the back and you'll see the garage. You won't have any problems. When you pull up to where you press the button to get your ticket you'll a door on the right side of the garage that is where you pay for your parking. I like this station because at least if your going northbound it is very close to the exit.

If you go to Fenway, hit up Uburger. The best cheeseburgers around.

Definitely a +1 for parking at a T-station and riding the subway in. Been doing that for YEARS when I hit Boston from NH.

If you and your wife are into walking around, the Esplanade is really pretty this time of year. You can walk right along the Charles.
