so what? hes probably just gonna buy a bigger house with all this new cash. this hardly tells of Brand leaning one way or the other.

Sure it could be a sign that he is leaving for Golden State, or it could mean he is getting a nice deal from LA and is buying a bigger better house.

If you read the article you would also know he owns another house in LA and already listed this one once two years ago.
