Good for him. And now, finally, we can move on from this.

I'm hoping for Barnes now, and we'll probably spend a little more on a PG than we would have had we signed Posey. I still think we need a vet center too.

Yeah, it is on ESPN as well. Oh well. Good for James, he cashed in, but no way I wanted Ainge to give him 25 million. Wow!!! That is a lot of cabbage for a "reserve" player who'll give you 7 and 4.

God bless him for getting the 4th year. And as much as I love him, I'm glad we're not paying for it. A 35-year old Posey making $7+ mm will not be an attractive cap fixture. Although NO is still trying to get over the hump, so they had to add the year.

Time to find another reserve 3 that can defend, shoot and lead, Danny...

Yeah it's too bad we couldn't keep him and good for him with the deal. It seems he was treating this as his last contract and wanted to get paid. No hard feelings.

I'm curious how this could change our negotiations with House?

This ought to break up a log jam of sorts as regards the rest of the free agents on the market. Hopefully Danny rounds out the roster in pretty quick order now.

I hope now we can bring back TA who I have wanted over Posey all along. Then we can add either Nochbar, Miles, or Barnes. If TA doesn't want to come back I think Snyder could be the choice.

Good luck, Posey! Thanks for helping us win the title!

Ainge was quoted as saying don't expect any "big" deals this summer, so I think that means no signing of restricted free agents or trades.

New Orleans is a cinderella team. Posey is going to regret it.

What about Ryan Gomes now? Any chance we offer him the full MLE, with max raises for 5 years? Would Minny match that offer?

Good luck James, I'm glad he got to go to a good team in NO, and I'm glad we don't have to pay him that ridiculous contract or wonder about this anymore. Would have loved to have him back, but not even for close to that much.

I like Gomes, but that is way to much to offer him. No one is going to offer anything like that IMO.
