Agent Mark Bartelstein, who also represents House, said the Celtics are interested in another of his free-agent clients: forward Devean George, who averaged 3.7 points per game for the Mavericks last season. The 31-year-old George played on three Lakers title teams

I'll pass. He sucked in Dallas. I rather take a chance on Darius Miles than this guy.

But what we need is another tall SF that can hit the 3 and play some defense.

He is the guy that resembles Posey the most. I never like him much but I think he would be a good fit here! He has been my choice for Posey replacement from the start. He used to be a good defender and he can hit the open three, so he can gives us a little bit of what JP gave us...

I think he's too old to be a good defender.

For the vet min I guess it wouldn't be horrible. Never been a fan of George. Never thought he was a particularly good defender. And his shooting is absolutely atrocious. He's also not a particularly good athlete at this point. Frankly I don't know what he would really bring other than another veteran in the locker room. Anything more than the vet min and I'd be pissed.

He's a 31 year old journeyman who won't make people forget about Posey's defense, but does have beaucoup NBA playoff experience. For minimum dollars I'd be fine with the signing. Maybe playing with the champs will ignite him more than he showed in Dallas.

If we sign him he'll just sit on the bench next to Scal.
