I honestly dont think Ill ever forget when I heard the news about KG, when I was growing up I never wouldve imagined I would see a big name player like a Garnett come here and still cant believe it to this day.

Exactly! I
still can't believe that Garnett is a Celtic.

Neither will I. I was really mad when we traded my two favorite players away (Gomes and Jefferson) and it wasn't till we signed Posey and House that I was finally able to read anything about basketball again.
But, now I'm happy with the 'ship, the team and that Big Al is beastin' in Minny and he and Gomes both got paid.
Here's to another CHAMPIONSHIP!

I was on this site for 3 straight days when the rumors came out. But I didn`t think we had a chance until kingley(?) posted that Danny called Al and told him he was getting traded. I had mixed feeling at first but when I saw the press conference I knew we had a great chance to win it all.
The energy, the chemistry in the conference was something I had never seen before. And after all those years of disappointments it was the first time I actually believed we could win a ring!
I will never forget the atmosphere. It was just this feeling in the air that something great was going to happen. Hope was back! Confidence was back! Celtic pride was back!
What a year!
Now let`s get banner 18!

For me it is a sweet blur between hearing the news that we had KG and that commercial that ends with the dude walking across the street with the Celtics towel wrapped around him....then the difference in watching all the games on NBA League Pass and expecting a win instead of just a few good plays by our young players....what a difference! Sweet 17!

The Badfinger song on the Nike commercial said it best..."I remember finding out about you".
Love that song.

I know! I won't ever be able to hear that song without thinking about KG. Ironically, that single was one of the first records my mom--a big Celtics fan--ever bought when she was young. Full circle, I guess.

I remember the look on Danny's face during the Big Three press conference. It was almost like he wanted to celebrate but was nervous/scared someone would come in and call this whole thing off.

The OP reminds me of the dumb and dumber scene, when Lloyd walks out of the bar, then comes back and sees the paper. "WE LANDED ON THE MOON!!! YES!!!" Thats my feeling when I read the quoted article.
Kingley...yeah, that dude was allllllllright....
I remember refreshing non stop. Sorting of like I am doing with the manny situation. Then I remember when it was close, and I got all negative, it won't happen, no it won't I ain't getting excited over nothing, OH **** IT HAPPENED OMG, IT HAPPENED WOOOOO!

Kingley was pretty good. Until Al was traded and He was trying to tell everyone that Big AL was better than KG.

He was good as a source, is what I meant.
And that big al is better talk is all just biasm. I am sure I would have said the same thing too if I knew big al.

now fast fowarding to 2011 when his contract is expired I'd love to see KG returning to us to give us the final piece to the puzzle. we'll be beasting
