Houston with their "Big 3" in the lineup.

They represent the dumb media's Great Hope to dethrone the C's. Not gonna happen.

Nothing was funner to watch last year than the celtics beating up on the knicks. Especially after that dumb commercial they made ("formidable front court"). But I never really hated the knicks, more than I was amused by how much of a train wreck they were all season.

My top three are:
1. The Spurs (I dislike them more than the Lakers, though I hate Phil Jackson more than the Spurs (it's complicated)
2. The Lakers (for obvious reasons)
3. The Wizards (they think they're too good.)

1) I want to see how test and see how good the Philadelphia team is now with Brand on board...
2) The 2nd team I want to see is Atlanta of course... They brought rivalry up to a whole 'nother level during the playoff...
3) Oh yeah... If Arenas makes another guarantee... definitely Washington of course...

As another poster above me said... hopefully the NY team gets a little more competitive... our division is going to be fun to watch this upcoming season.

And if O' Neal is healthy... then Toronto gets in the picture too... but I'm hoping the Celtics can shut them down quick because silence from up north is a beautiful thing...

1. Rockets - just to see how good they are with Artest in the lineup
2.Hornets - I want to show our Old pal Posey that he shouldn't have jumped ship.
3.Sixers - They could be dangerous and we'd have a bit of a division rival unlike last season.

Sixers. They look much improved, and it's an old rivalry to rekindle.

Also, I could've asked which single player who plays for a team you can't wait to see the Celtics defeat just to temporarily silence that player. In that case, Arenas is the top choice.

Between Atlantic division teams New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia and Toronto and Central division teams Chicago, Cleveland and Detroit among those who are relevant. The Knicks/Nets and Pistons games tends to stick out more as teams you always want to see beaten by Boston. The Sixers are on the cusp of being a team you dislike again, if you're a Celtics fan. For me, it's somewhat tough to simply say I dislike any team that is regarded by fans as those who are rivals. Because these teams tend to have a player or do I like. For instance, I like Brand. I say, you continue to like your favorite players regardless of the team they play for.

Also, of course, the Lakers (so we can beat them badly again WITH Bynum), the Sixers (let's see how much better they are with Brand...better, sure, but not contender-better), Washington, Orlando, the Knicks....the list could go on...

Fakers: Keep the streak going.
Spurs: Ditto
Sixers: To see how the Celtics stack up against their new look.
Knicks: Try to beat them by 50 this time.

If Laker fans get to bring up hypotheticals, why can't we? (this wasn't targeted at you, so much as those that won't give the Celtics their due)

At this point, I'd be excited to see them play anyone. We are the headliners in any matchup.

Orlando (games against them were exciting last year, expect more of the same)

I like the way you think... beating the knicks by 45 last season wasn't enough.

Rondo stepped up his game vs. Paul this year, so I'm looking forward to the New Orleans games. The Lakers and Rockets as well.

Do you think that that will hold true next season? Well, given the jealousy and animosity toward the Celtics. I would think national fans will still buy tickets to see if Boston fails considering that they'll be defending champions next season. Just like they'd all showed up to see whether or not the Celtics three All-Stars could function together after the media speculated that they wouldn't... Call it an universal curiosity. Next season will be interesting. The national media will look for holes... They'll mention Posey and (again) the ages of the three All-Stars.
