Al Jefferson knee injury

Apparently Al sprained his knee and should return in 2-3 weeks healthy. I wonder how long it will take his game to come back? Given his 1 1/2 years to recover from Ankle Sprain I wonder if it will take as long or longer for him to regain trust in his knee.

I saw this and was so sad, I really hope that he doesn't skip a beat. Hopefully what he has gone through early on in his career will prepare to overcome these type of things, he also shouldn't be too shy about getting a second opinion.

The anckle to me was a mystery. Why did that take so long to coorect? Was it worse then we were told?
Big Al is da man. KG is just the best celtic since Bird or McHale.

Big Al is by far my favorite player in the NBA after the Celtics players. I really hope he is a future Hall of famer and the injuries dont hurt him.

Yeah, he had bone spurs in his ankles. It's not his fault it took him 1 1/2 years to get better. The doctor's completely missed the whole bone spurs thing and told him that he could play...then he kept re-injuring his ankles because they weren't actually better.

I'm still a big Al fan and want him to have success in the league. He's a 21/11 guy just about every night and just needs to develop his leadership and D to become a truly elite player in the league. For a few years, watching his smooth offensive moves was one of the few bright spots in otherwise dismal Celtic seasons.

If he supposed to be back in 2-3 weeks I doubt it takes much time for him to regain form, as was said it was the undetected bone spurs that really hurt him here, he was playing in a lot of pain. Hopefully he bounces back quick, I'll always be rooting for Al, he took a lot of undeserved flak here before he finally got healthy and starting kickin ass and takin names.

sam, i know you've had a dislike for Big Al for a long time, but reveling in his injury is going a bit far.
i wish Al nothing but the best. looks like it won't keep him out long. whatever Al does in the league, i'd say the KG trade already looks pretty damn good.

I hope he'll get back to dominating the low block soon and when we play the wolves this year he's healthy and ready to square off against KG.

Particleman, you wouldn't happen to be working on the presidential campaign? That was some serious spin pretending indignation over a mild knee sprain. And I don't hate Al. I am just glad we were able to trade him for what we really needed.

I love Al and was heartbroken when he was traded even though the trade was a no-brainer after we acquired Ray Allen. Kevin Garnett was everything we had been hoping for. I wish Al a speedy recovery and hope he can contribute soon towards bringing the Wolves back to respectability. Well not TOO much respectability. Just enough for them to lose to us in the finals.

I don't know what happened to Big Al and his ankle back then but I don't think a sprained knee should cause that much trouble. I guess he shouldn't play as much as it was planned in the upcoming preseason games because I don't want to rush him back but by the time the regular season starts I think he'll be back 100%.
